I appreciated that the teacher walked around the studio during class to give pointers on how we should be holding the poses. Also, it was just challenging enough without feeling like I could not keep up.

I have been involved with yoga for over 25 years and stopped practicing consistently in group settings since arriving to Virginia a few years ago. I missed the discipline, encouragement and the comradery from time spent practicing in yoga studios. Sure, I can practice on my own, but there is a benefit of being part of a shared journey. Too, lately, my body--stiff from spending hours in front of a computer writing--felt like it needed to return to good old habits of a consistent yoga practice. I did some research and decided to check out Dragonfly Yoga Studio. The studio is not too far from home. It offers the flexibility I desire with a variety of classes—from early morning to evening. Dragonfly is clean and the energy inside is very positive. Thus far, I have taken classes with Anne and was not disappointed. She is a knowledgeable leader and guide. Yoga is not an exact science, not about being perfect. I appreciated how she allowed her students to explore their own limits. I especially love the background music, the lighting and how Anne starts the class with a simple gesture of giving—placing essential oil on our wrists for those who choose it. I look forward to the next class.
