• For beginners I thought it covered the machines pretty well and as for seasoned machinist its always good to get a refresher course.

• Because I believe that your environment, is one of collaboration and learning. Even though I got the learning part through the class, it seems the membership is where the collaboration comes in. Since it is very expensive to take classes and be a member, looks like I will have to wait until I can afford both to enjoy the collaboration that came so highly referred to in my class.

• I liked the curriculum, and the teacher was nice. My classmates were also enjoyable. The projects were fun and a good introduction to the class. The only problem is that some of the projects took too little time to complete, so there was a good bit of time that was spent waiting for the slower kids to finish up. Good experience overall though.

• Urban Workshop is simply the ultimate shop class experience. It is the way shop class should be done in the 21st century. The instructors and staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and the range of equipment and techniques the students learn is unparalleled. The learning sticks, too--this is where makers are made.
