• One of the best, most memorable massages I've experienced. Strong, magic hands worked wonders on an overtaxed lower back, and my shoulders and neck were transformed into melted butter by the time John was done.

• The sweet cinnamon scent emanating through the lobby made me smile as we walked in. We were greeted by warm cookies at the desk and a kind spirit who accidentally charged my debit card, before she realized it wasn't a credit card. She wrote a note to the night staff, but they accidentally allowed the charge through. When she came back in in the morning, she called me to let me know, apologized profusely, fixed the error and gave us a small credit to the room for the (minimal) hassle. She threw in a fruit tart I had wanted as well. The amenities are lovely, the spa is wonderful, with great massages to boot, and the food at Junction Restaurant, located in the hotel, was delicious. The room was clean, cute and modern. We're definitely happy we found this gem on our couples retreat to Vermont.

• We had a wonderful time at The Essex. The spa was wonderful with great staff and knowledgeable therapists. We also loved the smell of fresh baked goodies in the lobby of the resort.

• 9, the massage was great. Joe did a wonderful job. I had requested a woman however, so I was a little annoyed my request wasn't honored. But he did such a great job, I'd request him next time.

• Jane, my massage therapist gave me an outstanding massage. She has a healing touch. I will definitely return to see her. The Spa staff are very friendly, accommodating and helpful. I love coming here and keep coming back!

• I booked an 80 minute deep tissue massage and had Marie-Pierre. She was amazing and very professional. Having just given birth and now breast feeding, she knew of all the ways to make me comfortable and relax during my massage.

• My husband and I had the most pleasurable experience this past weekend. Every person at the resort was welcoming and made u feel at home. We had an amazing dinner at Junction that we are still talking about! Chef Kyle and his crew were outstanding. We enjoyed breakfast at The Tavern and even had a late night cocktail there as well. Our spa treatments were wonderful. The entire place is immaculately clean and relaxing. We will be sure to visit again next year!
