• I went in for a highlight and was very nervous because I've had bad experience with hair coloring and cuts and I was amazed Cassidy did a great job and got the highlights colored exactly how I wanted and spent a lot of time on my hair making it perfect for me! I will be back!

• The Essex Culinary Resort & Spa immediately revealed a charm to the property. Seeing the beautiful well taken care of gardens, well-kept bikes that were complimentary to guests to rent and ride around the grounds or wood trails across the street in a suburb area and kind thoughtful employee's that made sure we were settled into our room and we get the most out of our stay. We met a chef in the lobby Chef Anthony Spine who offered free treats that he just baked. My husband and I had an amazing time in our cooking class also hosted by Chef Anthony Spine who walked through each step to make a delicious appetizer, main course and dessert. He made sure we where hands on and stepping out of our comfort zone to try something new! He also showed a wealth of knowledge in the art of cooking. He answered all of our questions and our experience was perfect in every way. My husband and I started our first morning there at the spa. We received a 50 minute Swedish massage side by side where it was tailored to our own choice of scents and pressure of the massage. Relaxing music was played in the background at a comfortable volume. Both masseuses shared a calming pace when focusing on specific problem areas requested by us. Afterward they offered us a cup of cold refreshing water. We then waited in a quiet relaxing lounge where it offered delicious cold tea. We then got a pedicure where we received friendly customer service and excellent results. Overall I would recommend The Essex to anyone looking for relaxation, a new culinary experience, or just a friendly place to stay.
