  • Everything is kept clean And well organized with latest equipment, and super employees.
  • I use the pool- which is glorious. It's clean --and the management does its best to juggle the bookings. The locker rooms are tidy and considering the volume of people, kept pretty clean and stocked. I'm not happy with the mask policy as I think that in the locker room and gym spaces masks are necessary. Covid is not over because we are bored with it and want it to go away. I hate wearing a mask, but I don't want to get Covid. Having a hair dryer in the ladies locker room that can blow the virus everywhere seems stupid to me. I considered docking the club on these accounts, but I recognize the impossible place Covid has put so many businesses. I wish we did have another pool. Also, it would be nice if the time for booking for the pool started at noon and not midnight.

  • I always highly recommend South Yuba to my friends. I feel so comfortable there, it's like our second home. It always feels immaculately clean, which I really appreciate and have never experienced at other gyms I belong to. For me it's the perfect amount and balance of equipment and at least the times I go never feels too crowded. Love the pool and the sauna. I love that the hot tub is outside but I don't use it very often as it's a little too chemical smelling for me. Love the regular classes I do with Rowan and Nicole. I've always loved all the people that work there. One comment about Mike the owner though is that for having been someone that goes there a few times a week for almost 4 years I've never once had a moment where I felt he smiled , recognized me, and just said a genuine friendly "how you doing?" Honestly not a big deal to me but just thought I'd share as most of the friends I've made there at the gym seem to have the same experience. And not myself but I've heard from a few others that have been regular members for years that have had moments with Mike where they felt he rudely questioned if they had a membership or snuck in. Maybe not coincidentally, they were men with long hair. Considering half the men that go there have long hair I wouldn't expect they would be projected on like that but maybe Mike has had some "hippy looking guys" sneak in in the past. Just makes me wonder how present he is being to recognize who is regular valued clients despite what profile they fit. I know it's been stressful times during covid so I tend to give everyone a break mys
