• Whilst I do tip more than my required 20% I don't appreciate being told that I MUST give a gratuity. Gratuity is discretionary and I understand the perception that if you can afford to have a massage that you can afford to add 20% on-top. Not everyone's financial situation is the same. I save my butt off to be able to treat myself to massages regularly and actually right now adding an additional 20% is pretty tough since I just lost my job. Perhaps find another way to encourage gratuity that does not leave a bitter taste in clients mouths. We, after all keep the staff employed by supporting the local business.
