I took my 8yr old daughter here with mixed feelings on if they’d be patient and gentle with her hair. My daughters hair is thick, long, plentiful and she’s been known to clown like the kid on Color Purple🤦🏽‍♀️. I said a prayer before the appointment it was that serious, lol. Walking into the Salon I instantly felt comfortable-the vibe, the look, no congregating, everyone was focused and the way they were all taking the necessary covid precautions was awesome. Jeriah serviced my daughter. She is an angel… I can’t say enough about her so I’ll tell you what my kid says…”She has miracle hands! It didn’t hurt and I didn’t cry!” What melted my heart was the talk they had. Jeriah whispered to my daughter “Your hair is beautiful! Promise me you’ll never relax it or cut it.” I appreciate her reiterating the value of her natural hair to her. Jeriah explained the process, kept checking with my daughter to ensure she was okay and she did a beautiful job on her hair. At the end I thanked her and asked if she’d be okay being my daughter’s permanent stylist and without a 2nd though she said yes. I’m satisfied. My travel time is 45 minutes but Pressed Roots/Jeriah are SO SO worth the trip!
