• Growing up beside my grandmother's farm in east Texas, I was always around cows, milk cows, barns and horses, things I've been away from for 40 years. Just walking around Bay Area Equestrian Center, looking at the horses, with the sounds and smells, was like going back in time 40 years. Some things have changed, but not much. Of course, the horses here are awesome compared to the old nags my grandmother had on her place. Having never had formal instructions when I was a youngster, Bay Area equestrian helped correct some of my misconceptions concerning how to properly care for horses.
