Your Tanning Bar

A friend of a friend recommended Your Tanning Bar in a pinch when I needed a last minute tan for a wedding. I was able to book my appointment online and drop right in the next day. The gal who helped me explained everything well since I'm not familiar with the process. She did a great job with the airbrush tan and making me feel comfortable instead of totally vulnerable, but I should've done a better job prepping my skin beforehand. I thought I was a little dry, so it could've been helpful to have to the tech do a quick assessment and advise accordingly. I chose the most popular package with the drying powder add-on so I wasn't sticky. I felt gorgeous with a very natural looking glow - not too intense for November in Iowa - and it lasted about a week.

When I checked in, Yelp gave me a $5 off coupon which was unexpected. The gal hadn't seen it before, but checked with her manager and they were able to honor it. Much appreciated all around.

I used this tanning service for a good 6 months and loved it. They always fixed me right up if I had a spot that I had rubbed off at heat yoga. When I make time in my schedule I'll make a appearance back. I love the unlimited package

I came here for a one time tan because I was in town for a wedding. I found the service to be good and professional. I appreciated that their spray tanning is organic. The person that applied my spray tan seemed quite knowledgeable on how to maintain a spray to which I was appreciative.

I love the convenience of scheduling online and the hours of operation. I can fit in a quick spray after work (even late) or over lunch with no hassle whatsoever!

Of course that wouldn't matter if the quality of service wasn't there. I've had nothing but good experiences at Your Tanning Bar!

This place is legit. Great price. Fast service. All they do is airbrush tan so you know they're doing it right. Will be back when I'm in town.

I love Your Tanning Bar! Great spray tan every single time. When you walk out of there it is such a confidence boost. Plus I love the two products I bought from them; one is a body wash the other lotion. The lotion smells so good!!

Preface: I've never gotten a professional spray tan before, so cannot compare Your Tanning Bar with a similar business. This review is partly a review of Your Tanning Bar, but also an FYI for others who've never gotten a professional spray tan before.

I am getting married soon, so thought I'd try this out. They recommend first timers do a trial run two weeks prior to the wedding. I was nervous because, well, uhhhh, I don't have the body I did when I was 20 and am beyond body-conscious. The employee (maybe the owner?? I don't know) was super about putting me at ease and explained everything really, really well. The consummate professional. Everything she told me about what to expect was very accurate.

Fast forward to the next day, the day after that, etc.:I LOVE how it turned out. My friends and family can't believe it's not natural. They expected it to look orange. I'll definitely be back right before the wedding, and I think I'll keep going now and then after that. It's a little sad to admit, but I'll suck it up and admit it: I love the way I look, and it's a boost to my self esteem.

I have had a few sprays tans here and I have to say, they are the best! Way better then Sun Tan City! They never turn orange after developing. The owner is very nice . The only recommendation I could think of is to hire more professional staff. I had sat and waited for a tan because I did not have an appt. The receptionist had voiced her opinion of the owner out loud to another employee. This girl was rude, snotty, and completely full of herself. I was really displeased to have to listen to this girl complain well waiting. Fortunately, I do love this place and plan on returning.
