Wonder Yoga is truly wonderful!
TL;DR: this place has the soul of a funky/unpretentious studio located in a modern boutique facility.
The instructors are friendly, informative and pay attention to everyone in their class. They are really in tune with how a beginner experiences a new class (by reminding folks to relax their jaws, etc.) and provide modifications as a given for both beginners, advanced students and those with differing physical situations. I like that the instructors spell out different ideas for modifications or leg/arm positions without you having to ask for it. The friendliness extends to the other students as well. Students are happy to show you things, give you tips, offer to grab you a props before class, etc.
The owners make a point to learn your name and are very quick to respond to emails.
I started with a $30 30 day trial and immediately knew I would sign up for the VIP unlimited monthly membership. The VIP membership provides you with free mat/towel rental, a free guest pass each month, unlimited yoga, discounts on workshops and more. You are able to use a lock for free. I then upgraded to the VIP monthly membership + massage which equates to a $57 monthly 60 minute massage (before tip - a killer value in greater Boston).
The space is absolutely beautiful. The studio is spacious but feels cozy with a black painted ceiling, mirrors and brand new wood floors. The downstairs has a spacious seating area, Wellness room for appointments, lockers (with free locks provided), changing rooms and tea. The bathroom is even stocked with hair ties and tampons!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Nicole is a fantastic teacher - just the right amount of rigor and spirituality to the practice.

I've been practicing for 15 years and am a yoga instructor myself. This studio has fixed all the issues I encounter at most yoga studios
-All the teachers are great. I've been to classes with about 6 or 7 of them, and didn't dislike any.
-The studio is new and clean. It has mirrors, fans, and perfect lighting.
-There is a great get-ready space with lockers to store your items
-They stock hair ties. Good hair ties. Not the crappy thin ones that don't hold your hair.
-They have knee pads in addition to the regular blocks/straps
-The app makes booking classes easy and easy check-in
-Free off-street parking
I could go on. Highly recommend.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

It really is a "Wonder"ful yoga studio. Nicole has painstakingly made this place into a warm and welcoming place. She does not do like most owners and teach a big percentage of the classes. She picks the best teachers around and fills the schedule with quality and variety.
Hats off to her.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erica A.Billerica, MA023Oct 8, 2020
Excellent studio! I've been taking classes here for about two years and all of the teachers are fantastic. Allison's online classes really helped me get through the lockdown. She is inspirational, warm, and funny. This fall Scott's outdoor classes by the water tower raised my spirits, and loosened my tight shoulders. I highly recommend Wonder Yoga!

It's WONDERful that this yoga studio has opened in the Heights! It's so easy to get to and parking on Mass Ave is free. The studio is clean and modern and very hip. There's a real community here, where everyone - regardless of experience and ability - is made to feel welcome and is encouraged. Me and a couple coworkers are in the middle of the 30 day yoga challenge and it is absolutely improving our lives in multiple ways, even though we are only 11 days in!

A lot has changed at Wonder Yoga since I posted my last review. The studio changed owners in December 2017. The new owners are doing a great job bringing in new instructors, fun new classes, workshops, and supplies.
I recommend taking classes with Michael, Chere, Allison, and Nicole. I'm also a big fan of the once monthly Beats and Bliss class taught by Meghan.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you Allie!!
Apr 8, 2017Previous reviewI've tried most of the yoga studios around Arlington Heights (Black Crow, Lexington power, Prana power...), and this one is by far the best across the board. There are lots of reasons why I love this place, but I'll just list the top 5:
- Fun instructors who give lots of hands on help
- Free off street parking
- Nice, new, clean studio
- Convenient times for class
- Reasonable prices
I recommend taking a class with J.J., Stephen, or Ann Marie.
