I have been wanting to try a pilates class for a while now but was always very intimidated. I walked in and the instructors were so welcoming. They give great constructive criticism in such a nice way. I never feel uncomfortable there. They really take the time to learn everyone's names so that you feel really comfortable. I've done a handful of classes and already feel like part of the wicked core family! Its the best workout too. They are very strict with form which helps with safety and benefits your results! Thanks Wicked Core staff!

I've been working out for several years by means of weight training and fitness classes. This unique concept of using the mega former to target all muscle groups and especially your core has already improved my strength and muscle tone after just 5 classes! I had no idea what slow twitch muscle fibers were and how when they shake you burn more fat! I'm officially addicted and plan to stay committed to my Wicked Core classes

I loved wicked core. I was extremely nervous about giving Pilates a try as I am fairly new to fitness and exercise. I booked two classes through the website and decided to join the beginners basics class first. I was so impressed with how informative and patient Ali was. The studio is beautiful and offers all kinds of Pilates socks, and other workout accessories for purchase. Our class lasted about 35 minutes after the instruction portion. It was an amazing workout and I am still sore (in a good way) two days later. They have cubbies to place your things in and big beautiful bathrooms should you need to change it freshen up. I'm ready to sign up for my next class already. The studio is also conveniently located adjacent to Momentum coffee. Perfect setting for a later after a hard workout. You must go!

I had a horrible experience at this studio. I'm normally not one to write reviews but I had to warn others about this place. I recently took a Pilates class with an instructor named Deb, who made multiple comments about my weight during the class. I'm someone who works out regularly and the fact that she felt the need to comment on my physical appearance was appalling. I felt humiliated and uncomfortable the rest of the class. Working out can be a vulnerable thing, and I'd hate for someone like Deb to continue to shame people when they're trying to exercise and take care of themselves. Safe to say I won't be returning.

1/5 for multiple reasons: To start off, the instructors (minus the owner) were all so amazing and supportive of the learning process. Which is why it even gets the one star. Took one or two classes with the owner and she'd let you know she doesn't like dealing with new class beginners with the way she passive aggressively grabs your foot to "try and help" you. Often times though she'd ignore you or make you feel stupid, which isn't an environment anyone should be in when working out. The other instructors made you feel like family. Made sure everything was explained throughly to your understanding.
Now, I was super excited to try this place out, bought an unlimited 2 week class pass. With that being said, I expected to get what I paid for. Around the time I made this purchase there was a possible hurricane hitting us so I had to help family who lives near Galveston make a home at mine for however long it be/help evacuate them. I had a class scheduled but couldn't show up to class, called to let them know of the situation immediately and the owner I believe Deborah Miner finally called me back claiming she never received my call and ran my card for a $25 charge. I tried explaining to her my situation and she was very uncharismatic letting me know she cared more about the money she made per classes. From that point I was disappointed to learn that my money was going to such a self loathing person.
Lastly, the 2 week unlimited class pack is actually not "unlimited" you are only allowed one class per day. so why label it "unlimited" you are paying $75 for 14 classes but in reality you wouldn't even hit 14 classes because they recommend a day or rest in between for the first 2-3 times. It's a loop hole. Overall, minor things that could be improved starting with the owner and the mislabeling of the introductory class pack but I hope this gives all who have been wanting to try the genuine side of how things are really run at these two studios.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Evelyn, we are genuinely sorry that you had a bad experience in our studio and with understanding our policies. Considering your circumstances for missing your class, your charge was reversed after our conversation, the charge that remained was for the 2nd missed class. You are correct with your understanding on the 2 weeks unlimited, it is up to 14 classes based on only one per day. A different option to try out classes would be an intro 2 pack for $30. Once again, I apologize and thank your feedback as we strive to learn from it.

This is a heckuva workout, working just about every muscle in the body. My muscles were twitching right from the first pose, showing that the exercise was working. The Megaformer is an ingenious machine - it adds an element of instability and resistance to normal yoga/pilates poses, amplifying the strength-building effects. The instructors are true pros and very helpful. A lot of our friends go to Wicked Core weekly.

This class is amazing!
It's been a while since I've worked out, and was very apprehensive about going to this class.
I am SO glad I went.
I've been twice so far and I've had two different instructors... both have been sooo encouraging and supportive and helpful and motivating! For beginners, they have alternative ways of doing some of the tougher exercises.
The people in the class are all so encouraging and welcoming as well. There is no "clique" environment and it's really for everyone, including men!
If you have any hesitation about trying this gym out, don't! You're gonna be sore as heck, but you won't regret it!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Marissa W.San Diego, CA64708Dec 31, 2020
Went to Houston to visit a friend for a week over Thanksgiving and wanted to try a new workout and came across Wicked Core's Black Friday sale and thought, "why not?". Well it was a fantastic workout, great energy, and super clean! My abs and muscles were screaming. LOL The instructors were great and encouraging and played awesome music. I highly recommend!

Wicked Core is a great workout and it is only a 45 minute session but the results are amazing. It tones your legs, arms and abs. The instructors are knowledgeable and provide challenging workouts at every class! This strength training has greatly improved my running too. If you are looking for a workout that provides results based on your efforts look no further than Wicked Core.
