Waxing The City

No one wants to talk about this but here we are. Prior to waxing the city I'd done waxing twice. Both were even less pleasant than a transvaginal ultrasound at the obgyn as it was equally exposed and embarrassing but with far more pain. Waxing the City was the first time I'd done waxing without the strips of cloth that felt like they were ripping off layers of skin along with my dignity.

I love the wax-only method and have found the whole experience less painful and everyone who works there has done a great job. Sure, I wish they handed out wine before going in but considering the intimate experience I've been impressed. Highly recommend for service from front desk to the folks on the table.

I've been happy every time. Even the time I went through the agony and the boyfriend's flight was delayed two weeks. Just kidding he will never stop hearing about that.

The folks here know their work. You won't regret it.

I had never waxed anything before and decided to give it a try with a Brazilian wax. Talk about jumping in with both feet! This place had good reviews and I'm so glad this is where I chose to go. Val is terrific. Extremely professional and exceptional at her craft. She was very patient with me being a nervous first timer. It didn't hurt nearly as much as I expected, I would describe it more as uncomfortable than painful. It also wasn't at all embarrassing as I anticipated it would be. The receptionist is very friendly and it is very clean inside. I've been twice and it's been a great experience both times.

Visited for the first time and Serena is FANTASTIC. I've gotten about 4 Brazilian waxes and they've all been pretty painful/long lasting. I was at EWC (another waxing facility) and had to take a few breaks bc the tar they use is insanely painful. This places uses a much softer hard wax and I was out in 20m. I felt ZERO pain the whole time. Great experience from the minute you walk in until you leave. Finally found my places!

As usual I go monthly for a Brazilian with Traci. This time I tried the VANICURE and let me tell you it is everything! Ladies first off Traci is professional and thorough and there is no hair left behind. But the vanicure is next level. Iv'e had vajacials before but I think I prefer the vanicure better. The exfoliating cream was not harsh and the cooling mask was extremely relaxing. I even got a scalp massage while my nethers were absorbing the mask.
Anyway shout out to you Traci, you are the real MVP in these hairless streets.

I will never go anywhere else for a wax. I've gotten a full Brazilian with Tya twice now and it barely hurt and she's extremely thorough. She makes the experience so pleasant and I feel so pampered. Everyone there is lovely and it's such a nice environment. Highly recommend if you're considering it!

I have been a loyal customer here forever but I think the service is going down hill. They had a great long time receptionist who really gave a lot to the job but since she left I haven't been feeling it. I called last week to get a new appointment and they kept me on hold for 3 minutes. When I am at the store, I routinely have them take calls while I am checking out.. plus it usually isn't that busy that I could justify the 3 minutes. I never make a change on my appointment but today I had to and I called 2 hours ahead of time. If they had an appointment available before or after I would have taken it but they didn't. I rescheduled and then got the speech about 24 hours notice or being charged. Ugh that really annoys me. I obviously understand that policy and usually show up early for my appointments and have had the people working - on me - be late. It just put me off the place. That speech should be reserved for people who do this all the time and if you're too busy to know those things you shouldn't say anything. This is exactly the kind of thing that made me seek out Waxing in the City in the first place so to start with this all over again makes me think it is time to find someone who needs my money.

Oh and I see the business owner likes to reach out for negative reviews. Please don't bother. Do it right the first time. I never trust a business that didn't because it says to me the the business is trying to get away with things unless you make a stink. And I don't post this to make a stink, I post it so others will be aware.

I've been going here for a couple years and im always satisfied with the service! Now they have a bunch of great products for skin care etc as well. Julia is amazing! She works quick, and makes it painless. We always have good conversations and she's full of skincare and hair care tips! 1000% Recommend her and this place

I went here for a Brazilian wax for my first time ever today, and I cannot say enough good things!! I was immediately greeted by the receptionist, who is very friendly and also hilarious. My esthetician, Tina, came out before I even finished the paperwork and took me back right away even though I was early!
Tina was really fantastic and made me feel completely at ease from the start. The entire process took about 45 minutes, and while it wasn't painless, it was not nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be. Tina is funny and charming and chatted with me the whole time which was a great distraction, and also made sure I had all the information about every step along the way.
This place goes beyond hair removal. They gave me a wonderful, comfortable experience from the moment I walked in the door, and honestly even made it fun. I already booked another appointment and can definitely see this becoming a regular thing for me.
I'm so glad I picked this location for my first wax and I would recommend Waxing the City to literally anyone (and everyone!)
