Q:
How tall is too tall to be able to fit comfortably in a pod?
A:
The pods are 8ft long. Our pods can fit anyone under 6 foot 7-8 inches comfortably, but that is not to say it is the height limit.

I never going to forget my first experience floating. My toes were in so much pain because I was standing for so many hours at work. I was also very stressed and my back neck area was sore.
I tried to float since massage did not help.
I was a bit nervous at first I don't like to be enclosed so I left the pot door a bit open. I started floating, listening music was soothing, I let my mind relax I almost felt sleep or didI? I am not sure. After I took a shower, I felt my skin soft. Right when I was getting ready to leave my toes weren't hurting anymore and the pain on my neck was gone. The salt and the amazing properties floating have did they work on me. I love floating and will %100 recommend it. Thank you for being here in AZ and for taking good care of your customers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Drew V.Scottsdale, AZ518Feb 4, 2024
I've never encountered a wellness/relaxation business with such stress inducing policies and poor customer service. The first float experience we had was okay. We were told there was only music available at the start of the float and as a reminder at the end(which turned out to be false). The actual float was relaxing and the room was nice.
Afterwards I decided to purchase a three float package to continue seeing if there were legitimate benefits for relaxation and recovery. The package was supposed to be used within a year.
The next session I went to was in a room which wasn't cleaned and had a bed which sounded like nails on a chalkboard when opening. At this session though I was offered music for the duration of the float.
The last float experience was actually pleasant and I was looking forward to another.
When I went to schedule the final float I wasn't able to without paying. When I called, the representative told me that the package expired after six months. Not a year like I was originally told.
I regret having checked this place out. If it was better managed I think it would have a chance but it doesn't seem like a place that will keep people coming back. Which is necessary in the wellness space.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gold And Bleu B.Phoenix, AZ01Feb 26, 2024
I urge everyone for their health do not float here they have a serious mold problem. Some of the carpets are spongy and water comes up if you step hard enough. Mold is growing on the walls. Its unacceptable that they do not care about clients safety.

Thank you Gold and Blue for your review.
We take these things very seriously and are here to make it right for you. We have had our air quality tested and everything is normal. We have cleaned everything and are currently getting quotes for a remodel of the spa and will be undergoing a complete remodel soon. - Dec 3, 2022
This was my first float and I absolutely loved it!!! I think it's going to be a different experience for everyone because we all need and want differently. If your into meditation this will be your jam for sure. It sounds like a long time to float. 1 hour. But I could have stayed in there for 2 hours. It felt like 25/40 minutes and it was over but sure enough it was an hour. Since this was my first time it took me a minute to get adjusted and figure out how I was comfortable so I'm excited for next time because I think I will get a little extra relax time since I know what to expect. I loved it and can't wait to go back.

While the float session was great, the experience was unique and certainly one to remember. My husband and I purchased discounted Salt Cave options via Groupon and quickly realized we wanted to Foat Experience.
We call and spoke to someone earlier in the week who advised us that we can simply upgrade the Groupon to account for the float, simple. An extra $20 per person - nice!!
When closing out of the Spa, we were hit with a big bill. Whatever challenges they have with Groupon and being able to charge the right rates, we ended up paying the Groupon price for the salt cave AND the float (some discount), but no where near what was expected.
This took my experience from, awesome I would recommend, to stress and avoid.
Unfortunate. The people are nice. The service was great. The price mixup...not so relaxing.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you Jameel,
I apologize for the mix up. We would like to make it right and offer you both a complementary session to try us out again. Groupon is a 3rd party vendor and we can not control what that do. Again I apologies for any mis information you were given and hope you give us a chance to make it right.
Thank you,

I think when the general public figures out the when you emulate the highest technology that could ever be, called nature, and you were able to re-visit the mothers womb, a level of rest and recuperation will be experienced by so many people their bed might be the 2 nd best place to recover. This is one of the most profound experiences I have ever had and has changed my life to degrees I had not thought possible. To be able to rest and recuperate to such a level... I highly recommend this.

I broke my back skydiving and have been helped tremendously from floating here. While floating my back released (audibly) a ton of tension after about 45 mins of floating. I also felt a deep feeling of peace for almost a week after. I can't say enough good things about True Rest Tempe. I hope this True Rest stays open forever. Thank you guys for everything you do.

Absolutely love this float spa! The owner is a gem and all the staff I have interacted with have been fantastic. The pods are great and I love the addition of the salt cave and the sound lounge. The spa has always been clean and I always leave feeling 110%. I need to go more because it not only heals physically, it helps me mentally as well!

What an absolutely amazing experience. I found them on Groupon and have been wanting to try it for over a year now. This location is really close to my apartment, it's super clean and in plaza with a lot of other businesses. Our Floating Specialist was Ethan and he did a great job explaining everything and ensuring we had a great experience. My husband and I watched the video, and were fully prepared for our experience.
The rooms have a private shower and area for you to get prepared. The pod is really clean and the water was the perfect temperature. It's a little warm for men, my husband had to leave his pod cracked so they air could flow in. Mine was completely closed and dark. It doesn't take long for you to completely relax and zone out. If you meditate, this will be perfect for you!
Make sure you put your earbuds in before you start your float session. I had to get out of my pod a few minutes after I was completely comfortable, how annoying of me. Lol I'd also suggest showering very well after you get out. I half showered and it showed, I had salt all over my face and neck. I wore a swim cap however, my hair got just as wet as it would have had I put it own. My fault! Lol
After our float session was over we hung out in the oxygen area and were hooked up to the machine and offered tea. It's been 5 hours since we left and we're completely relaxed. I can't wait to go to bed, I know I'm going to sleep great!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Alix M.Tempe, AZ83410Feb 10, 2021
The float was relaxing.
However, the pod was slimy and my skin has not felt right since. Any place where my skin accidentally bumped the sides of the pod (like my back and my forearms) have been not stop itchy for 4 days after. I have showered everyday, used lotions and oils, soaked in my tub and still the weird itching. It feels like a fungal infection, and I'm afraid I will have to go to the doctor.
Salt inhibits the growth of fungus but does not kill it on sight. So it's not unlikely that getting in a tub of used salt water where lots of other people have been soaking naked would expose you to germs like fungus. I should have known better.
Also I have read that others were given flip flops to use in showers, but I never received any and I wish I had. Standing in a public shower that isn't washed in between uses is not my idea of a luxury spa experience.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Dear Alix,
My apologies for your experience. We would like a chance to make it right. I would love to offer you a free Salt Cave, Sound lounge and Oxygen Bar session.
The pods do feel slimy, (silky and soft) from all the epsom salts. Our pods are completely sterile and we disinfect with a concentrated Hydrogen peroxide as well as Ozone. We also do a weekly chlorine treatment. Some people do have a sensitivity to the Epsom Salts themselves as it is very salt water, which is why we provide the petroleum jelly to cover any cuts.
My employee should have offered you sandals and I apologize about this and will be retraining the team again. I hope you can understand as a business owner during these difficult times we are all trying our best to stay afloat. Let me know how we can make it right. Please give the Spa a call at (480) 389-0853 and we would be happy to help fix this.
Thank you,

I received a gift card as a Christmas gift from my husband in an effort to alleviate my pain due to health conditions. I was so excited to try this "therapy" at the Tempe location until I walked into the room. There was mold on the ceiling (see photo)! Nonetheless, I gave this a try. The welcome video described the water to be 93°- skin temperature, a washcloth within the pod (in case of accidental salt water in your eye) & a personal shower. I used the neck support & accidentally got water in my eye (ouch!), yet the washcloth wasn't readily available?! I exited to find a washcloth which resulted in slipping & falling. I STILL wanted to give this a try. The water within the pod was lukewarm upon entering, yet became cold quickly. I also found it difficult to breathe (felt pressure on my chest). The "music options" occurred only in the beginning (used intercom to request the continuation of the only music available since the silence was creepy). As I shivered, I used the intercom to find out how much time was remaining due to being cold & my ears hurting - I told the gal that I was ending my session. While WAITING an inordinate amount of time for the shower to warm up, the warm water ran out quickly (my home shower is better). After getting dressed, I just wanted to go home. I made the receptionist aware of being cold, ears sore & wanting to go home ASAP yet she proceeded to tell me about membership packages?! My response was that I wasn't interested in listening as I desperately needed a warm shower!! So disappointed.

Hello Betsy,
My apologies for your experience. I hope you can give us a chance to have you back and make it right. We are having a maintenance on our water heater after seeing your review to make sure things are right. I'm sorry about the face towel, there is a place to put in in the pod to make it easier to reach for next time. Also we have plenty of music options to get you set up on for next time. All of our pods run about skin temp, but some rooms are warmer than others and we can make sure you would be in a warmer room the next time. We will check out any areas that need cleaning and make sure everything is pristine. Sometimes there is salt on the ceiling of the room or in the vents from all the salt in the air and I see that is the picture that you took. We are a small locally owned family business and again would love the opportunity to make this right for you with a second chance and a complementary session.
Thank you again for your feedback so we can continue to improve,
Holly and The True REST Tempe Team
