There has not been any communication, to members, from them about the closure of the place since March. One would hope that they are replacing the old machines and, finally cleaning the dirty furniture...
Sorry to say that we are not planning on returning there, if and when, they contact us about reopeningHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Mar 10, 2014Previous reviewYou can't find better in North County. #greatworkout facilities. Gorgeous Architectural Design
Monica at the Spa & Wellness Area,
Did an amazing job on my makeup.
I highly recommend the mineral makeup,
Its much lighter than liquid foundation, I think its even better than MAC or Bare Minerals.
All natural ingredients, provides a fresh faced glow, gorgeous!
Natalie color Lipstick has moisturizers in it,
Cause we all know dry lips ain't cute lol
Shout out to Monica & Gina!!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We have really enjoyed this gym and are anxious to see it reopen. We drive 45 minutes to use it, each way. The pool facility is wonderful, clean and free of the typical chlorine smell that most indoor pools have. The secondary pool for classes and a warmer work out are much appreciated. The fitness equipment is in a nice open area brightly lit and not crowded at all. The locker rooms are nice and well maintained as well.
We love that it caters to everyone from those rehabbing from injury or poor health all the way to tri athletes. From gentle restorative yoga to challenging spin classes. The mind body classes and even Pilates reformers round it out nicely. The spa gals are especially helpful! They have it all.
The staff has always been pleasant and knowledgeable and even quick and receptive to handle any issues or just be helpful.
As members, they have kept us informed about the status during Covid, by email, and also on their website.
We miss the opportunity to work out here greatly, as we have not found an equal to it in the area. And hope to return after the first of the year. Hope everyone in staff is doing well during this challenging time.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shivani R.San Marcos, CA39105193Oct 15, 2018
I have recently joined the gym for fitness purposes and absolutely love the facility. It's nice and clean, have towel service, the equipment in the fitness classes, for ecample for the Body Pump sessions are plentiful, clean and easily accessed. This is the main reason I joined this gym; because of the vast range of Les Mills classes it offers. I tried Grit and Barre for the first time too which was a nice change from what was offered in the last gym.
The cost of the gym is higher than the other ones I've gone to but for what you get back makes the cost bearable. Plus the offers they have are quite good and Randi, the manager sorted out an excellent deal for my entire family. In general, the staff are quite friendly here. You just pay a little bit extra per month.
I did have to buy a yoga mat for the Body Flow class as the gym believes in hygiene which I guess is a good thing. Yoga mats are easy to buy anyway so this wasn't a big deal.
I like the fact that this is not a vanity gym so we don't have to deal with excessive grunting and mirror-hogging from other gym-goers. With that being said, it could do with more mirrors for the purpose of maintaining correct posture when lifting weights or stretching or mat-related workouts.
The lockers are pretty awesome. Nice and big with a code of your choice to lock them. Problem arises when you are looking for an empty locker and waste time looking at which ones don't have a blinking red light. I look like I'm trying to break into them as I end up swiftly but gently pulling the door out hoping for an unlocked one to swing open!
As I go for the Les Mills classes, I'm glad the gym offers a range of classes, with the same classes being available at various times in the day and led by different fitness instructors which is good because each instructor has a unique but enthusiastic approach to the class!
A couple of improvements I can think of are as follows:
1. The workout rooms can be much brighter. The gym has attempted this by having large windows but I feel that more light is needed especially for the morning classes. Maybe it's just a matter of switching lights on!
2. Music in the classes can be a little bit more louder but that's probably a personal choice as louder music really pumps me up!
3. Les Mills offer a class called Body Attack which I'm deeply in love with! But this gym doesn't offer it. When it comes to non-bike-related cardio, Grit is offered as a half an hour class but I love the sports-inspired training that Attack offers! I owe my endurance to this class! Once this gym offers this class, I may just set my bed up here!
I've rambled on way too much but fitness is something I hold dearly to my heart! For this reason, I would recommend this gym for anyone looking to be fit, without the pressure of what everyone around is doing as everyone goes at their own pace!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I took the warm water class after I had severe back problems. I had a surgery/procedure.
After every session I could hardly get out of the pool. After 3-4 sessions the trainer told my wife I had a bad attitude and was going to drop me from the group.it turned out I had 2 fractured vertebrae which then collapsed. I was doing bending, and twisting that really hurt me. I have had 2 major surgeries, the last with 2 13 " rods.since and 16 mo. Of pt. I dont think SOME of them are qualified.
Good luck going there.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 14, 2014Updated review
I continue to absolutely love this place and will miss it when I move back to LA. I have never been a great gym enthusiast, but I manage to come regularly just for the elliptical, where you sit down and work both your legs and your arms, while watching TV on the little monitor.
Everyone here is very friendly and it's never super crowded the way it is at 24 hr Fitness. The machines aren't sweaty and you usually never have to wait to use anything. The walk/run track is also great and never very busy.
They have a full array of everything including a physical therapy unit and a heart section with medical personnel. They offer a lot of classes, some of which are good and some of which aren't. I tried the Qi Gong and I did not like the instructor.
But if you're looking for a fully functioning gym, with a more upscale clientele, good parking and a well ventilated facility, this is the place. You can negotiate with them a little on the monthly cost, or pay yearly and get an automatic discount.
They also have good trainers, Joao being the one I trained with for awhile who is so patient and friendly.Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0Mar 20, 2013Previous reviewSo I haven't been super disciplined about going to the gym.... but I made time to have a one hour massage! Just too much stress and activity lately. They assigned me to Kelly and she was great. She does deep tissue and ends with a weirdly wonderful ayarvedic technique.
The massage spa area is small but calm and relaxing. They had a set of 3 massages for $260, so that's why I did. The actual massage room is roomier than many, which I appreciate. The temperature was perfect and the bed was comfy.

I joined this Gym about 3 years ago. It's in a great location. Staff is awesome. The membership for me is $90/mo which I feel is a bit pricey.
I usually only go to the water aerobics classes in their "warm" pool. The pool temp seems to fluctuate constantly, and I dont get the reason for this. Thinking of maybe changing gyms, but they seem to have the most water aerobic classes around.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Emily,
Thank you for your feedback and for being a valued member of Tri-City Wellness & Fitness Center. We appreciate your kind comments about our team and the convenience of our location and it is great to see that you participate in our group aquatics classes! Our warm water pool is mixed use, with some members using it for therapeutic reasons, while others are participating in our aqua fitness classes. The computer controlling temperature has a range of 3 degrees, and that can vary throughout the day. While we understand the pool might be too cold for some and too warm for others, our number priority is member safety while also keeping the pool temperature within standards recommended for safety by the American Red Cross. I hope this information is helpful to you. Please let us know if you have additional feedback and we will be happy to discuss with you in more detail. Please feel free to connect with us by emailing: theteam@tricitywellness.com.
Thank you!

An ok place if you need physical therapy but you seldom see same person who evaluates you to continue your pt appointments. In their gym they don't take Silver Sneakers either. You'd think they'd take us to encourage our working out to stay stronger and need less pt or care.

I was in the medical supervision strength training program. During my 2nd session, my trainer said to start mountain climber set. I did and totally ruptured my Achilles tendon. Surgery, cast, boot, crutches for 3 months. I just had my post Injury MRI. Achilles is burdened with scar tissue and 2 tendons of my foot are also ruptured.
I paid $200 a month for this small group program. I thought I would be safe.
Beware of 30 something jocks that think they know something.
69, healthy and used to be able to walk for miles.
Now I prepare for 2nd reconstruction.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julia K.Fort Worth, TX103234361Jul 6, 2016
