I was suffering for a few weeks from an awful terrible hackjob done by someone at Springfield Mall (I needed to let it grow out a little bit). I thankfully found TJ's online and decided to take another chance. Jessica fixed my haircut -- it looks and feels great! She listened intently to me describe what I was hoping for and did an excellent skillful job. Highly recommended!

Karen is actually a miracle worker on curly hair, I really can't say enough how wonderful she is. I went in for a trim at a different salon and had my curly hair absolutely butchered - like the top half of my head was layered in this mess that left it curling up around the crown, but the bottom layer of my hair was just left around my shoulders. I was panicked and didn't even know how to fix it. I found Karen through Yelp and saw some of the pictures and managed to get in to see her today.

I really had low expectations, not because of Karen, but because I really didn't think there was much to do to my head except make it less... bad. Karen patiently listened to me basically break down in her chair and was so kind. I was already stressed from someone messing up my hair but she immediately put me at ease.

She really took the time to look at my curls and how my curls differed from one side to the other (even gave me some great tips for my dry scalp). The whole time I felt like she understood curly hair and how to handle it. She was also super transparent about pricing which I really appreciated. I've had salons before make me feel tricked when I got to the register and see that different things were tacked on, but Karen was great. I didn't feel like she was pushing anything on me, and she really went out of her way to make me feel a million times better.

I will definitely be back!!

The best haircut I ever had. Not exaggerating here. I have curly thick but fine hair. I had dark brown with red tones before Karen worked her magic and created beautiful blond full highlights. The cut, the color, the way she placed the highlights made my hair look so vibrant and healthy. She shaped it very nice. She is very detailed with her cuts and takes time to ensure the final product is noting short of amazing. She is funny, kind, nice and I had a blast talking to her while she made my curls look amazing. Highly recommend Karen for anyone with curly hair.

I am new to the area, and this salon was recommended by a few local fellow curly-haired people. I made an appointment with Karen for a Deva cut. I hadn't had an opportunity to see a stylist with this training, and I was excited. Karen was a joy to spend the time with, and my hair looks fantastic. I'm hooked. Thank you, Karen!

Such friendly staff there and good listeners when it comes to what you want for you hair style and hair maintenance. Come prepared with pictures so they have a better idea of your goal and they will let you know what can work with your hair type and lifestyle.

I'm happy/sad today. I had a very long appointment with Karen. My gray needed zapped. I needed a cut and I wanted some highlights. Once I learned of the price for full highlights, I opted for partial so I'd have $ for a good tip. When it came time to pay, I learned that the blow dry wasn't included in the numbers I was given and a glaze was used that wasn't included. I had a price in my head and then couldn't tip as much as I wanted. I didn't even spend that much $$ in Hawaii for a Brazilian Blowout. I don't think anything was done maliciously. Just be certain of the final price tag before moving forward.

Cost aside, Karen is an absolutely wonderful hairdresser. She listens. She's got a good eye for color. The cut was perfect. She offers care and styling tips. Honestly, she's talented and wonderful. That's why I'm happy/sad. I REALLY like Karen and the results but I know she's out of my sustainable budget. Maybe I'll just get a root touch up and nothing else.

If cost isn't an issue, or you can splurge, Karen is top-notch. I really like her a LOT and I do love the results!

Melody is the best! I've been a loyal client since moving to the area in 2012!

Yesterday was my first time back at TJs since the pandemic started, I was so excited to get full highlights from Melody. We leaned a bit more into the gray hair I saw coming in over the the past 15 months. She also always gives the best blow outs, so I was excited to show my hair off yesterday for a friends birthday!

I felt totally safe and in good hands with Melody and the TJs team. Sonya also gives a great scalp massage when she washes your hair. I forgot how much I missed getting my hair washed too!
