I hate to leave 2 stars but I called the shop almost 10 times (it was on a Saturday when they were opening so maybe they were busy) and got no answer. I called the next day and got an answer and left a message for the manager to call me and never received a call so...
I went in with my daughter to purposely support a Black business. I live 30 miles away which shows how much I wanted to support. I was also visiting the shop off a recommendation from a coworker.
I LOVED the in shop experience - the ladies who worked on our nails were so funny, professional, and sweet. They were awesome!
My daughter's polish came off the next day on one of her nails and mine cracked on 5 different nails within a week - I got SNS. Not what I was expecting from $130 worth of services.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Syan,
I first want to thank you for coming to support black owned business. The salon phone was compromised and the calls were being forwarded without our knowledge and customer calls were not getting received. Now that we have solved that problem ... we have changed our SNS product line as we found the previous product was not up to our standards... hence your experience with cracking and peeling. When you have a moment please contact the salon so we can re-do your service - for free and have you experience our new line of product.... I’m sure you will be pleasantly pleased. - Caitlin S.Westfield, IN1932728Sep 26, 2017
This place is in the heart of Vinings and something you should try! Massage, pedicure, manicures, facials - they do it all. Very clean space and the technicians are so nice!
Tip - there is ample parking below ... the google directions take you there. Park first, then go to the store front!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ashley N.Atlanta, GA261116Jul 20, 2019
I have so many good things to say about this place. I've been going there for about 7ish years and am never disappointed. Although I've only done massages and nails, here are some points about Posh Spot.
Jaelyn, the owner, always responds to emails and always inviting when coming in there. Cares about her customers and what they want.
Treva, my nail tech, is amazing. Whether you're a walk in or have an appointment, she genuinely cares about your nails and takes the extra steps to make sure you take care of them too. She will go the extra mile to make you look fabulous. She's always great to talk to as well! Easiest conversations. I hate going to a place where it's like pulling teeth to have a conversation and you end up just sitting in silence. She gives great advice on colors if needed or going on a special event- she's got your back!
Michael!! I can't say enough about him. He's one of the masseuses. I went in telling him of some knee issues and he had a full blown out consultation with me and worked every part of my body. It was heaven! I want to tell y'all about the magic he performed, but you just have to experience it yourself!! You will absolutely not be disappointed! I walked out feeling like a new, limber, woman!
With all of that said, I absolutely give this salon 5 stars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kourtney R.Hellertown, PA16221Aug 11, 2018
Despite the calming atmosphere and nice, professional staff, I will never come back to this establishment again.
I went in to get a very simple gel manicure, which in my experience usually takes 45 minutes to an hour total. More than two hours later, I walked out $60 poorer (I'm from the north, THIS is expensive for a GM) with atrocious nails that I'll probably have to pay to get fixed. I told my technician (I didn't catch her name but based on her lack of skills, I'm guessing she's brand new) multiple times how I wanted my nails to look (square with rounded edges) but after the fifth time, she still did not get it. I approached Treva (who I understood to be the head nail technician) who told my technician for a sixth time what I wanted and physically showed her how to do it.
At this point I should've just paid for services already rendered and walked out but I decided to give my technician one last chance; clearly that was a mistake. There's polish where there shouldn't be and no polish where there should be (like on the tip of my nail???), my nails are still filed crookedly and way shorter than I ever wanted.
A word of advice The Posh Spot: train your technicians on basic nail maintenance before you put them on the floor and allow them to take paying customers. I have never been more frustrated or disappointed in a nail job.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Kourtney R.,
I apologize that you feel that the technician was ill trained and that you did not receive a proper manicure. I believe the nail tech that provided service is our new staff member who just moved to the US from Venezuela, so yes there was a breakdown in communication. We have reviewed the spa tapes and spoke with our team members and see that you were approached and questioned three times to repair the shape of your nails. How you know that Treva is our Head Nail Technician is not outwardly known which makes me think that this is yet again another attempt to bring down the spa. We have serviced your family for years and since your bad experience your mother in law has returned for her mani and pedi with no complaints.... done by your same nail tech. Please let me know when you are back in town and I would love to have you experience a great manicure complementary on the spa so you can experience for yourself what the Posh Spot experience is all about. Our ratings have gone up from a 3.4 to a 4.9 while under new ownership and I would really like you to have a great experience. - Tara K.New York, NY01710Sep 25, 2018
I wish I didn't have to give this place any stars.
On a recent visit to Atlanta, I stopped by the Posh Spot, I hadn't been there in years.
It was impossible to book over the phone because the staff didn't seem to know what was going on, so I took my chances considering what I had remembered about the place!
Upon arrival, no one greeted me and I sat there for a few minutes until they could figure things out.
They sat me at a pedicure bowl and had to clean it while I sat there. They weren't that busy so I wasn't sure as to why it wasn't already clean.
The nails techs were overall nice and apologetic. The place wasn't exactly clean- to my standards.. and the woman at the front was loud and obnoxious and scantily clad to say the least!
This is when I found out that there were new owners.
It all made sense!
What a decline from the last visit!
I hope they get it together, such a beautiful salon.. but I don't think the new owners know what's going on!
I suggest going over to Hammond nails! Either one!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Tara K,
I apologize that your recent visit to The Posh Spot was less than expected and quite different from your previous visit. I too am having difficulty on line in locating your actual visit. My goal is to keep clients, not run them off. I would like to extend an offer to have you return and experience The Posh Spot in a whole different light. We strive to pamper all of our clients and are committed to making all clients look and feel better. Come back and experience a rejuvenating mani/pedi ... I’d love to briefly chat with you and address your concerns. Hopefully we can turn the negatives into positives. I look forward to hearing from you. - Kelli R.Smyrna, GA022Jan 27, 2021
I recently visited the Posh Spot for a day of relaxation on the fourth of July. I had a massage, a facial, and a mani/ pedi. I was pleased with my facial by Wanda and I enjoyed my massage. I recommend anyone looking for a place of pampering to come to the Posh Spot.

Friendly receptionist when making an appointment. They ask for your credit card information for their cancellation policy. READ ONLINE BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT! I found it to be a bit much.
I called a day before for 3 manicures and they were able to get us in next day at the time we requested. They send you a cute confirmation email with your time and cost of service. They charge $15 for a gel soak off... really...I've never been to a salon where they charge you extra for this.
Parking is limited. Salon is clean and organized. There are literally only 4 manicure stations and a few pedicure chairs. We picked out our colors and when the techs were calling us, one lady seemed to be pissed that my friend peeled her polish off. To save $15, um, yeah.
It was a completely different vibe than the majority of salons I've been to. It is probably excellent for those who don't like a busy space and want something more personable. They seem to pride themselves with their style, but it just wasn't for me. After I read some things on their website (Lol, the cancellation policy thing really bothered me) I knew this wasn't the right place for us, but didn't meet their "criteria" to cancel, and they now had my credit card number (my fault for giving) so they could charge away.
Clean salon, very private feel, well decorated, but definitely "poshy".Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sharee W.Mount Pleasant, SC38267865May 28, 2018
This is wonderful boutique spa in Atlanta. I had the pleasure of getting pedicure here when I was in town for a friend's bridal weekend. The interior is calming and very well decorated. The staff was amazing and very helpful. It's not a typical nail salon...it's a more personalized experience. There are only 3 or 4 manicure stations and may 5 pedicure bowls. I personally had a great experience with my pedicure and I liked the end result. It is a little more expensive than your usual pedicure. For what we were doing that weekend, it was a great choice.

I got SNS done last Sunday and it was by far the worst SNS I've ever had. 3 days later, Tuesday, I have 3 different chipped nails and the rest had random cracks through them. Also they don't keep to time. I had an appointment but had to wait 45/50 minutes before they started so ended up spending 2 hours at the salon. The nail 'therapists' was nice but the result was a big waste of time and money.

Terrible service. The employees here are incredibly unprofessional. They don't open when they say they will. They take no responsibility for their actions.
Details below:
Their website and their printed pamphlets state that they open at 11 AM on Sundays. When my girlfriend showed up at 11:10, the doors were still closed and the lights were still off. There was another woman waiting in her car for them to open as well. When I came by later at 12:40, I was told that they are a "neighborhood" salon, so they just open whenever - sometimes at 11 and sometimes by noon. In what world is that a reasonable way to run a business?
When I did show up at 12:40 to pick up a gift card, there was no one at the front desk to purchase one from. The other workers told me the receptionist would be back in 5-10 minutes, so I came back 10 minutes later. The receptionist still did not show up until 1:05 (25 minutes after I originally stopped by). While I was waiting at the cash register for 15 minutes, the other workers knew I only needed a gift card but seemed unwilling to walk over to the front desk and just let me check out.
When the receptionist finally came back, she did not seem sorry and told me that she thought she had time to get brunch. So essentially, the store didn't open until at least 11:15, and she thought it was reasonable to leave her spot an hour later to go get brunch at a restaurant rather than stay at work. Once she started working, it still took her over 10 minutes to complete the transaction! Buying a gift card should not take 10 minutes, much less 40 minutes.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
