If anyone can review this place - it's me. I've gone every two weeks religiously for THREE YEARS. Holly is an angel on earth. Not only is she a master of her craft (and I always see her mentoring her peers and offering helpful advice) but she has amazing interpersonal skills. Sometimes I wonder if I go for the beautiful work Holly does or just to see her!
Also, Andrea at the front desk is a GEM. She greets everyone BY NAME and makes you feel so welcome. I recently rescheduled a string of appointments and she didn't bat an eye and was incredibly helpful. She elevates the experience as the first and last person you interact with.
(I'm writing this from a pedicure chair and two women here have already complimented my lashes.)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 19, 2019Updated review
I've had more terrible experiences here than positive ones. For the money I spend monthly to have my lashes done professionally, the service is a poor reflection of that.
I just left having a refill done, and left with my lashes looking uneven. It's embarrassing to walk around looking like this knowing I just went in.
The lack of communication and inconsistency (for lash techs) is astounding. I should picked up on those red flags my first experience, but I have it a chance because of the effort from management to right the wrongs. I was not aware that a refill consisted of 25 lashes per eye, had I known that, I would have booked a full set knowing the state my lashes were in. (One eye shed a lot more due to allergy season)
I have never left a beauty service scathing, and I am shocked at how nonchalant my lash tech was on top of her lack of interest in working with me to have me leave happy.
Shame on this place for not upholding a standard of satisfaction in such a prime location.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Tanya,
I've very sorry to hear you were not happy with your lashes and the service. When you are back from your trip I'd like to speak with you. I appreciate your feedback and would like to see if we can correct the situation. Have a good trip and hope to speak with you soon.

The Lash Lounge SomervilleApr 6, 2019Previous reviewUPDATE:
After my first ordeal at the Lash Lounge, the owner followed up and I was able to go back and have my lashes re-done free of charge. I am satisfied with my result, and the level of professionalism from the manger and the staff. My new lash tech, Kaix (I believe is the spelling) listens to what I want, and how I want it. When she did the re-do, the tape was a bit too close to my eyes and caused irritation. However, when I went back for a lash fill she made sure to take precaution. I'm still giving this place a try to see if it's for me, but I will say that I see and feel an improvement from my first two times.
I will also say that the neck pillows don't offer much support. I have a bad back and I was uncomfortable, but Kaix checked it to try to make me as comfortable as possible.
The interior is really clean, and I'm glad that the music volume was turned down on my third visit.
My experience here is getting better! And I hope that continues :)

Honestly, this was one of the least pleasurable experiences I've had getting lashes applied.
My original appointment was cancelled because the lash artist quit, and I received a call to reschedule. It seemed a bit hard to get a day to reschedule based off of my schedule which was slightly annoying, but the receptionist made it work and fit me in the next day. I should have known that by that interaction that things wouldn't improve.
The day of my appointment 3/13/19, I received a call from Christina starting that there had been a cancellation and that I could come in closer to 7:00pm. Great for me because that would be I could go home after a long day of work!
I arrived around 6:40, and didn't start my lashes until 7:30. Not okay. My lash tech, Allie I believe, was apologetic and wasn't aware of the call. At that point I just wanted my lashes done since I am going out of town for an event over the weekend.
Allie did a great job trying to help me get the style I wanted by asking detailed questions, but unfortunately the result wasn't anywhere close. She stated that she had difficulty applying the lashes due to the way my lashes grew out, which is something I've heard in the past from other lash techs- but I was always able to get the results I wanted.
I went back to the front desk and stated that communication should be improved since I was sitting there for close to an hour. Christina seemed to not have remembered until I said that I had the voicemail and I called back and spoke to her and received the message that I could come in earlier.
I'm really used to lash spots trying their best to make me happy, and trying their hardest to fit me in at a time that's convenient for me... isn't that what customer service is?
She booked a fill appointment for me next Friday, free of charge, which should make me feel better- but that's not the weekend I need my lashes done.
I ended up paying $99 with the promo I signed up with, but I feel cheated that I had to pay to get the results I didn't want, experienced a long wait time, and had a cancellation. Now I'm off to an event out of state feeling extremely dissatisfied.

I saw an ad on Instagram for a free set of lashes. I knew I'd be suckered in to signing up or paying for something but still made the appointment.
Honestly these lashes have been life changing. I really love "waking up like this". I get compliments on the daily. They're so full but very natural.
I've been seeing Pati every two weeks for months now and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
The staff is sweet and it's a nice relaxing atmosphere.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I've been getting lash extentions since the beginning. And this place is the best by far. Super informative, gentle, and extremely step by step professionalism the whole time!!! Great for all skin types, and mine is extremely sensitive!!

I love coming to the lash lounge! My lashes always look beautiful and now with COVID they have really taken extra steps to make sure it's as clean and safe as possible.
I have to agree with the last review that I've had retention issues in the past but I also have oily skin. If you bother to talk to them about it they are truly fair about making things right.
It's so much harder to get a happy person to take time out of their day to leave a review rather than a pissed off one. Don't let these reviews fool you.
Lashes are about communication, working with your stylist and using the right products to clean and retain them. Most people are too lazy to do all that. Alexa is great.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information
