• I visited the Lash Lounge, a company that specializes in lash extensions, lash lifts and tints. One of my friends recommended that I get a lash lift. I have naturally really straight lashes. I've done lash-enhancing serums, lash extensions, and own about a dozen mascaras in rotation at any given time. I would have to use a lash curler, mascara primer and two coats of mascara just to get that perfect curl. I decided to get a lash lift with the guarantee that my lashes would appear longer. A lash lift is a natural way to enhance your natural lashes to create a nice curve and lift. The curled effect is especially great for the outer corners of your lash line, which can also create an overall lifted look for your eye. Lasting up to 6-8 weeks. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a lash consultant. After filling out paperwork the lash technician introduced herself and brought me to the back. During the application you are laying down with your eyes shut. I was very comfortable, I had a fleece blanket and dozed off halfway through. The process took about 50 minutes. The lash technician prepped by lashes by cleansing them, a gel pad is then applied to my lower lashes and a silicone rod is placed on my upper lash line. The lashes are then separated individually and the perm solution is applied. Once the solution has been removed, they apply a conditioning solution to the lashes. When the treatment was done my lash technician went over further care instructions. Avoid getting the newly permed lashes wet for the first 24 hours. That involves wearing makeup, hot showers and working out. When it comes to maintaining a lash lift it’s super easy! After waiting 24 hours you can wear mascara, or not wear mascara. It's been almost a week since I got it done, and my lashes are still just as long and voluminous as they were immediately after my treatment. I’m extremely satisfied with the results!
