We had a wonderful time at the J House and enjoyed their Romance Package very much! The staff was amazing and thought of every detail and went the extra mile to make sure our room was set up perfectly and it was! It is really a great package and encourage others to experience it.

This was my first time at the J House Hotel. I came here to celebrate my birthday. The valet parking attendants were very kind and allowed us to self park in the front. The hotel is lit beautifully and when you walk in there's a beautiful Christmas tree. It's opulent and elegant and I immediately loved it. The room was very high tech and I pushed every button I could find LOL. The toilet was automated and had a bidet. The bidet had multiple functions including a drying function! The huge glass mirror was also the television and the lit glass mirror in the bathroom also was a television. The bed was comfy and so were the pillows which is never the case for me. They provided robes and sleep masks also. There was continental breakfast available if you didn't want to go to the restaurant on the premises. I had a delicious coffee and bagel. One thing I did not like was that someone near us had a dog that barked quite a bit in the morning. But this place gets 5 stars because I forgot my birthday card behind and was so devastated. I called back and she right away got in touch with housekeeping who had put it aside for me. I thought for sure they'd have just thrown it away. So I will be going back to pick it up. I just thought this was so nice of them. I will be going back in the near future. This felt like a luxurious birthday weekend well spent.

My friends and I had an 8 pm reservation. We got there early and while there were empty tables, we were told they were waiting for tables to get up. We got some drinks at the bar that we requested weren't sweetened. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal. We were then seated nearly a half hour after the reservation time. My group and I ordered sushi and requested no crunch/gluten free - which is exactly what came to the table. Once they redid the order, the sushi was really good. The service wasn't great, super slow. I came in thinking that the J House had a good reputation- while this may be the case, I was really disappointed. Needless to say, I'm not itching to return anytime time soon.

I hosted my 30th birthday experience at The J House Greenwich and the pictures attached do it no justice. After having brunch at Tony's (the restaurant at the J House), I fell in love with the food and the atmosphere of the venue. I immediately began working with the Event Coordinator in March to host my event for May. Before I dive into the rest of the review, this was the breakdown of my event:
-Location: Putnam Room
-Time: 7-11pm
-Food: 3 course plated dinner
-Drinks: Standard 3hr open bar
-Party size: 48 people
The above was the hard part. Once that was situated, I was able to organize everything else. I was allowed to bring in a DJ, a photographer and a photobooth for my event. The venue also waived the cake cutting fee and a few other add-ons for me. I met and communicated with the Event Coordinator frequently and although there were plenty of bumps along the way, the execution of my event was flawless. My friends and I set up the day before and there was really no limit on what I was allowed to do. I had a vision and was able to bring it to fruition. I decorated and set up the venue myself. The decor was all me, not the venue itself just as an FYI!
On the day of the event, my guests began to arrive around 6pm and were offered valet parking. They waited in the foyer area until the doors of the room were open. During the wait, the bar was open and folks were able to mingle. The staff already had the meal selections of each guest and they were FLAWLESSSSSS in how they executed the delivery of the food the entire night. Till today, I am so amazed at how wonderful the staff was!!!! My guests still rave about the food and the staff.
The saddest part for me was when the event ended. I had such an amazing time and would recommend the J House to everyone. We also stayed overnight at the hotel as they blocked off 10 rooms for me and my guests. The rooms were immaculate and service was beyond what I expected.
Can't wait to host another event here!!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Danny B.Valley Stream, NY0341Jan 2, 2023
Was there overnight for New Year's Eve.
Very helpful and accommodating staff.
Ultra-modern rooms with fun all electric switched and even an all-electric toilet.
We were at Tony's Restaurant with some friends, and we all loved the ambiance, and the food was really good. I had the Cold Seafood Appetizer and the Veal Chop parmesan (just delish). The cheesecake was the final straw for my already stuffed belly, but I ate it all anyway! The wait staff was on point.
I'll be going back next year for the same great experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dave S.Canton, GA01Jun 16, 2023
We couldn't get reservations for 2 rooms for 3 nights at the Delamar so we tried here. They cost about the same but that's where similarity ends. The Delamar offers a much nicer room, lobby and the restaurant is one of the best.
J house consists of two separate buildings. The main building, with the lobby, and another building, seemingly cobbled from a mid 1970s motel. As a consequence, if you stay in rooms like 124, and 125 like we did, you need to get off the elevator, and then exit the main building to get to your room In the other building.
The rooms are small but they are nicely appointed, spotless and replete with hi tech gadgets But do guests really need a TOTO $2000 toilet that has an automatically opening lid even if you just walk past it? The shower was great but alas, I found the towels to be scratchy. The bed was terrible in my room, as well as for my traveling partner. I expect much betyet in this price range.
Room HVAC is poorly designed. If you change the temp it can take hours to adjust to your chosen level. Even then, when you direct the unit to maintain a certain temperature, it does not accurately do so.
The pool area is very nice and perhaps the nicest feature of J House. However, because the hotel is situated really close to I 95, the road noise is very distracting killing your zen vibe.
One other item to mention. When getting off the elevator to go to our room for three days, there was the perpetual smell of something similar to pizza. If the guests noticed this, why doesn't the staff notice it and use a ozone blocker to neutralize the smell?
Our stay included a continental breakfast. It offered cereals, yogurts and fresh fruit and delicious coffee. It was well run. My only complaint would be that for the size of the hotel, that the eating area probably was not larger than 10 x 10.
I will give high marks to the front desk. Over the course of our trip we interacted with them several times and found them to be friendly and efficient.
Bottom line, I'd pass on J House. for the money, there are better options in the Greenwich area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Caroline I.Richmond Hill, Canada22422Dec 4, 2022

Attended a private party here and had a wonderful time. The staff was so attentive without being pushy. The food was excellent. The hors d'oeuvres were so plentiful and delicious they could have been a meal on their own ! Looking forward to future visits
