  • I love the teachers, the space and everything about it!! Nice to finally have a dance studio in the area with adult classes!
  • I attended the first Adult "Legs, Leaps, and Feet" class that the Hive offered. Originally I had signed up with a friend who is a dancer as fun thing between us, but at the last minute she had to cancel and I, still curious about the Hive, decided it may be fun to attend solo. I was expecting other students, maybe other solos students, maybe couples, etc., but turned out when I had arrived only me, alone, was signed up to take the class. From the immediate beginning walking through the doors of the Hive (despite the unexpected circumstance of suddenly a private class, haha) I felt welcomed in with open arms; having no dance experience, the instructor listened to what I am familiar with in terms of movement, acknowledged it, and coordinate the class to my familiarity and reference/experience level. They listened to every word I had to say, answered every question, and explained every move and position. I felt so supportive in a brand new environment, I walked away feeling both like I had learned new things, and also put my (very brief!) knowledge to the test. Not a dancer at all, overall I walked away from my class at the Hive like Remy from the Disney film Ratatouille. Instead of, "Anyone can cook!," at the Hive under its team, my specific instructor for the one class I've attended or otherwise, "anyone can dance!" I very much look forward to taking more classes at the Hive very soon!
  • Super fun and welcoming atmosphere, even for a shy first-timer. Also felt like it was a true beginner class that I was challenged but not utterly crushed by.
