• My son is seven and doing some kind of new hairstyle that he's inventing as he goes. The front is long over his eyes and everything else short. Like a mullet on backwards. Anyway, Jess was totally down to help him with his idea while still making sure he paid attention to cowlicks and his natural part and so on. To me, it's just hair, so he can grow whatever he wants but a lot of stylists take their work so seriously they wouldn't just let a kid do something kinda dopey looking. A lot of people would try to make it something that they think I would approve of. Who doesn't have a picture of themselves as a child with a horrific haircut and embarrassing shirt? There's not a ton of salons willing to just let someone express themselves. So that's why I chose that score. After visiting your salon his hair looks ludicrous, he LOVES it, and I'm totally content.
