The Healing Path Day Spa

Husband treated me with a 90min couples massage for my birthday! They have awesome discounts on Groupon but because of that they do book up fast so expect to make an appointment 1-2 months in advance if you want a weekend slot. There was a gentlemen at the front that was very nice and got us all checked in and brought to the back.

When you first walk back they have a separate room to change into robes, flip flops, and lockers to lock up your belongings. This room also has a hair dryer, brushes, and mirrors in case you had plans after and wanted to make yourself presentable. Nice touch but for me I bum it in and bum it out.... lol! Once you are changed they have comfy lounge chairs you can sit in and close you eyes for about a minute or 2 while you wait for your therapist to come get you and bring you into the room.

My massage therapist was Angela and I loved her! Very nice, thorough, and applied the perfect amount of pressure! Highly recommend her! They add some very nice, relaxing touches to the massage that I don't normally get at another spa. Such as hot towels on your back, hands, feet, and some type of heating bags for your neck and face that was externally relaxing and comforting.

The entire massage was amazing from start to finish. Easily the best one I have had. I'm excited to come back with my husband. Looking forward to seeing Angela again! Thank you healing spa for a relaxing and romantic day with my husband! (:

Impossible to work with! Made an appointment two months ago for couples 90 minute massage that we received as a Groupon gift for Valentine's Day. Was told one hour before that it is canceled and they had us booked for 60 minute massage in error as well. Can't get an appointment for over months now, I want a refund!


2/25/19 Never heard from the manager as promised!

The person who massages me "where are your trouble spots?"

Me "mostly my mid back, legs and feet"

Him "you got a 90 minute massage and you want me to rub your back"

Me " well my whole body but you asked what my trouble spots were, so no. I would like a full body, but just a little extra love in those spots"

Dude kept me face down on the table for 90 minutes. Didn't once flip me over. He elbowed my back soooo hard with all of his weight, for 90 minutes. Even after I said "lighter please" multiple times.

I use to love this place but that man was the worse. When I stood up after I couldn't walk. I had vertigo so bad for two days. Absolute trash. Also, the ladies at the front... I know this is Scottsdale but, they are sooooo rude. What happened to this place? Honestly it's just a step above a trashy parlor with a "happy ending" sleeze special. Don't let the nice robes fool you. It's not that nice anymore. Save the coin. Go somewhere else.

Worst customer service experience of my life. They double booked my massage and float sessions and refused to refund me! I highly recommend you go elsewhere for a float session. It'd also be much better to go to a corporate spa (Elements or Hand and Stone) for a massage. You will never have to worry about having the nightmare of the experience I did. My girlfriend was in tears. Never again. Not worth it!

Edit: After posting this review, the owner called me the following day and notified me that I would receive my refund. He made right what should have been precedent in the first place. Review updated from 1 to 2 stars.

It is impossible to get an appointment with this place. I called and the soonest they could get me and boyfriend in was in 30+ days. We eventually booked an appointment for 45+ days in advance. They would not book the appointment without a l credit card number. I explained to the woman that I bought a groupon for this couples massage and it was already paid for. She would not let me book the appointment without giving her the card number, so I did...
Considering the appointment was made so far in advance, I would expect a courtesy reminder of the appointment, which I did not receive.
What a waste of time and money...
Make sure to not miss your appointment... I was charged for literally nothing.

My wife had gotten me a 60 minute float session as a birthday gift. I was given instructions to show up 15 minutes early for my 11 am appointment. I arrived at 10:45 to a locked door that did not open until 11 am. The gentleman behind the desk was on the phone when I came in and helped me relatively quickly to get me set up for my float session. He was very knowledgeable and able to explain the process to me as this was my first float session. The environment was clean and organized and the float tank looked to be in great condition. The floating experience was very enjoyable for the most part and it did help to make me feel more relaxed upon leaving.


The only reason I cannot give the experience a 5 star rating is that this place is located next to a dance studio. While in the tank and trying to focus and lose myself in thought, I could feel the bass and hear the music from the studio. It became increasingly distracting and took quite a bit out of the experience.

What a treat! My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of pampering at The Healing Path Day Spa. We did a 60 minute massage and 60 minute float......we left feeling so rested and restored!

This was our first float experience and the owner coached us through what to do, and expect, perfectly. It was a fantastic experience, to say the least!

The owner and staff were very nice and respectful, great experience . Highly recommend checking this place out.

Had a couples massage here today with my husband. Great greeting right when you walk in. Your lead into a beautiful dressing/changing room. Then on to a waiting room that's lit with beautiful candles and relaxing music. While you wait for your room. Then on to your room you go! Awesome massage awaits! Need I say more! Our room had a shower in it to clean up after our massage if needed from the lotion and oils. And then off you go back to the changing room. Great place. Will be back.

They cancelled our appointment for a couples massage (which was scheduled almost 2 months in advance-for our anniversary) ONE HOUR before we were supposed to come in.
And they soonest they could reschedule us was another month later. Seriously don't even waste your time. It's next to impossible to get an appointment.

Bryan Buchanan at The Healing Day Spa deserves a 5 Star rating. He gives the best massages. I injured my right shoulder and mentioned it to Bryan. He took the time to work the muscle to aid the healing process. I was in much pain before I came to see Bryan. I have additionally rested my shoulder, stretched and the pain is gone. I'm coming for my second visit and looking forward to get Bryan's massage. The Healing Path Day Spa is conveniently located. They offer many specials and packages.
