Sweet Waxology

This was my first time getting waxed in quite a long time, and it was great! Johanna was so sweet and kind, which was great for being nervous about a Brazilian! I was a little jumpy, but thats more me than her. She was gentle, thorough, and made absolutely sure that I was happy with my results. Works quickly, but doesn't sacrifice the quality of her work in the process. Very clean and sanitary, used a new spatula for every strip of wax she used. She also opts to forgo using muslin strips, which this hippie tree-hugger loves. I will definitely be returning. Thank you, Johanna!

Johanna was very patient and kind. She was very informative about her products and the wax she uses. I have fair skin and have had bad results with waxing in the past at another facility. Johanna reassured me that she would be gentle and that products have changed and improved since then. She also gave me tips on what I could do if problems were to arise, although she did not anticipate any.

I immediately felt comfortable and at ease with Johanna. I was not embarrassed or shy. (Having a Brazilian can be uncomfortable at times.) But Johanna and I talked the entire time. It was like we were old friends just catching up over a coochie wax.

I was prepared for this procedure to take 30 min to an hour. But I was in and out in 15 minutes. SWEAR! I am SO pleased with the results - and so is he ;) ;)

Anyway, I WILL definitely be back, not only for my downstairs kitty cat grooming, but for my brows, my underarms, and might even try having the legs done. Shaving is such a hassle!

She's amazing and very understanding when it comes to any fears you may have. She really makes waxing one of the most comfortable experiences. Always takes into account your feelings and makes sure you have the best experience possible.

Johanna is THE very BEST! If you want a good wax she's who you want to go see! I moved here almost 4 years ago and would not consider going anywhere else.

I scheduled an appointment for eyebrow shaping/wax for my young daughter about 2 weeks in advance via the website and they had plenty of times available the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I called a few days after I scheduled the appointment and left a message asking if they had an appointment available sooner (the Saturday before), but if not, we could just leave it as is. I never heard back, but I'm assuming it's because she didn't have anything available.

I noticed that there was no option to cancel or reschedule on the website or from the email confirmation, which was disappointing. The day before the appointment I received a text confirmation and it gave an option to cancel.

I was also worried about being able to find the suite once I got to the building, but on the last confirmation email, it gave instructions on where to turn when you walk in, so that was helpful.

It was my daughter's first time to get waxed and the waxologist was really nice and made us comfortable. I told her I just wanted her brows cleaned up and not much taken off, and thankfully she was conservative with the wax. My daughter really likes her new eyebrows.

My only complaint is the inability to reschedule or cancel easily. Since I had to give my credit card to reserve the appt, it's concerning that I might not receive a call back if I ever need to cancel or reschedule, and then might get charged for it. But I will return to her in the future and hopefully won't need to reschedule.

Amazing service! I was at the Salons at University Oaks getting my hair colored and trimmed. I thought it would be super convenient if I could get a wax done the same day. I pulled up the website for Sweet Waxology and BOOM made an appointment! I felt like it was my lucky day! Convenient and easy way to schedule appointments.

When I arrived to the suite, I was so happy to get an appointment I let Johanna know. Her suite is so posh! I definitely felt like I was in a boutique.

She explained the process and I was ready to try getting my eyebrows tinted. Why not since I've been so curious about the process! My eyebrows were so bushy! Thanks to the pandemic I was overdue on getting threaded I decided to get waxed. I wanted to go to a professional place to get it done. I'm so glad I did. She made my eyebrows look wonderful and the wax process was easy. My eyebrows are tinted and look natural.

I am looking forward to returning! She was super sweet and did a great job.

I have been seeing Johanna now for almost 5 years and I still full heartedly believe she is not only an amazing woman but she is also the best aesthetician I have even been to. She takes time to get to know her clients and genuinely cares, she always asks me how I'm doing and if there's anything new going on in my life and she makes you so comfortable it's like talking to an old friend. I recommend her to all of my friends. Thank you for all that you do and thank you for making me feel like a goddess every time I leave your salon, I feel like I stand up taller and have impenetrable confidence. You really are the best!!

I have been seeing Johanna for over a year now for Brazilian waxes. She has been my only experience with this kind of service. I had never gotten a wax before. I am truly pleased after every service.
Johanna is kind, personable and extremely professional. On my first experience, she talked me through the process and it ended up not being as painful as I had imagined. Since then, each monthly visit has been more relaxing and an experience you get used to over time.

Johanna was very thorough and gentle with my eyebrow wax! She made sure I was 100% happy with the results, and I definitely am. It only takes a few seconds to fill my eyebrows in now that they're more even. Highly recommend her!
