Sweet & Sassy

My daughters came to Sweet & Sassy for haircuts for the first time today. Sara W and Melissa were the hairstylists. In my daughters words:

"I don't want to go anywhere else for haircuts ever again. They were the best."

"They were my favorite! They were kind, and they asked us lots of questions and did what we wanted."

Staff was wonderful, prompt, and fun! My girls have never left a haircut this excited. Thank you ladies!

To be quite honest, I was super disappointed in the atmosphere and lack of overall festivity and poor activity planning for my kiddos recent birthday party at this place. We had the good fortunate of attending a birthday party a year ago, so we had expectations of what a good party was. There was barely any music, the salon was quiet for most of the time, no excitement. The kids had a runway show - last time we attended the kids were asked personalized questions, and this time it was their names and they were handed offstage. The people running the party had little to no direction on what games to play. They ran the same song twice for freeze dance, and did limbo where the kids had to literally crawl on the floor. I had bought spa robes for the kids and one party attendant said the kids would not be able to change, to which I disagreed since we had over 1.5 hours left of our party. After another 30 minutes, I ended up calling the party over early. The attendants lacked enthusiasm as well. We did make the best of it with our guests and my daughter, but honestly I would not book again here. Overall, I do not recommend Sweet n Sassy.

Love it. Too my daughter for her 7th Birthday and she loved every minute of it. Descent prices as well. They also have like a shopping center when you enter. Sale like bracelets, purses and you can make your own bath bomb baggy.

This shop is a salon for little kids. They do offer boy cuts but I'd say most boys would not enjoy this sort of place. You know your kids and if pink walls, disco balls, incredibly girly things are an interest of your child than they would enjoy this place. They offer haircuts and other spa services like manicures and pedicures. My daughter loves this place. We have only been twice, the first time the lady cutting her hair was great. She was personal, spoke to my daughter, made her feel like a big girl. The second the girl hardly spoke to my daughter at all, hardly smiled and wasn't very friendly. To make matters worse it was my daughters birthday and all she wanted was to go to this place and get all fancy for her big day.
I wish I knew what staff was good and who was the duds because the staff really make and break this experience for kiddos.
I booked each appointment weeks in advance and never had an issue getting the time frame and day I wanted. I'd recommend booking in advance if it's a weekend as I did see several other families in at the same time we were.

You really can't beat the pampering of Sweet & Sassy in Southlake. Our daughter gets 2 haircuts a year so we make it a big deal and this experience is beyond wonderful! Ask for BROOKE as she is super friendly and fun and treats your child like gold. They have all kinds of packages from simple haircuts to braids, up-do's, nails, parties, etc. Fun shop at the front of the store for toys (including Pop Its!!) and hair goodies. When we came in there was an adorable little girl nail party going on and they still accommodated us for our first TX haircut and made the outing such a treat! Call ahead or schedule your appointment online -- couldn't be easier! Owner is on site and she is so friendly, a mom, and makes sure that you are enjoying the time as well! It was ok. The place seems a little outdated and the facial was not one I think my daughter expected. The lady literally put on the cream and cucumbers and immediately removed and that was it! Didn't really feel like a spa and definitely not a serious serious manicure or pedicure. But guess the idea is nice. The awesome part was the braiding with glitter and gel. The nail design on the manicure and pedicure were a nice touch. But would not return.

Made an appointment to get my daughters ear pierced and it turned out to be the best thing I've could've done. I had no idea where to go to get her ear pierced so we randomly chose this place. The place looked very clean and friendly and was definitely priced right.

When we arrived we were quickly checked in and given options of what kind of starter set my daughter wanted. The staff was quite knowledgeable and answered all of questions so that we could make our decision. Then we moved on to getting it done. This is where my daughter began to get a bit nervous. The staff member was quick to talk to her and try to calm her down. Between her and other staff member, they did both ears at the same time. Genius. The staff was amazing with my nervous daughter and made the whole experience way better than I expected.

I was very impressed with the entire process and would totally recommend them to anyone looking to have their kid's ears pierced.

The ladies here are all so sweet and welcoming. I have both my daughter 7 and son 6 get their hair done here. By daughter loves getting the different braids and updos. The nice thing about the braids is they last 4 nights. Love this place!

My baby just had her first haircut here and it was such a sweet and fun experience. The stylist was patient and friendly as my toddler flapped around and was totally un phased by it. We got to keep some hair, got a certificate and an awesome keepsake photo!

We are definitely coming back to take advantage of the private party space for future birthday parties and of course future hair cuts.

Took my girls here for their first day of school cuts. We went on a Tuesday morning. One daughter (older daughter) had a stylist who was not gentle taking knots out and didn't even interact with my little one. Melissa-the manager was AMAZING though and she had my other (younger) daughter. She interacted with her the whole time. Both got the full hair package where they shampoo and cut and both got make up application. Later that night I undid the braid and realized my older daughters hair was so messed up. It was so choppy and uneven. Next morning I called and they got us back in with Melissa. So here it is Wednesday and we went back and of course Melissa could fix her hair. Had to take off a few more inches than my husband and I had agreed on but it was for our daughters own self esteem. Not only did Melissa redeem the business in my point of view, she also made me realize if you speak to a business in a calm yet expressive tone you can solve an issue easier than just sucking it up at the time then leaving a bad review. I will be returning and next time only making an appointment with Melissa. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars is because we have family in town and our time and schedules were very full and precious and we had to make an extra trip (30min away) to get my daughters hair re done


Update:
We had the girls birthday here and it was horrible!!! They wasted my money...no girls got their promised crowns...it was supposed to be a frozen theme party and no one got their snow flakes on their little cheeks. To make matter EVEN WORSE the employees (IN FRONT OF EVERYONE) made the ASSumption my daughter had lice...LICE. In front of guests. They each went over and were picking through my daughters hair. THEY NEVER SAID THEY WOULD BE DOING THAT!! It was so degrading. I had to walk over in front of every guest and tell the employees "that's dandruff!" I was soooo pissed!! Tried talking to a manager about it, tried calling for the owners...DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND HARD EARNED MONEY.
