• Triumph. That is the emotion I felt as I conquered my first back “sugaring.” I strode into Sugar and Bronze to have the experts remove my forever sweater from my back region. It’s getting warmer and this Dad Bod needs to be smooth as a bowling ball on a freshly waxed lane. Like Sirens of Greek mythology, I was greeted by a lovely staff who led me with smiles to my “doom.” The treatment room was warm and inviting. Intoxicating aromas billowed through the air. What was that smell? Essential oils? cookie cake? Zeus’ beard? One will never know. I show the ladies the target and go over the mission with the expert. Chuck Norris in Delta Force is the only description you could give to the tactical efficacy of which hair was removed from my body. While fairly painful (my manscaping was more of a forest scape), the seasoned experts made me feel as if I was a veteran at this. Cool, comfortable, collected. They were caring and mindful of my newness. We laughed, we cried (well, I cried), we achieved. With a silky smooth new body, I collected my things, and headed to face the day. Was that a bit more swag in my step, or was it being 10 lbs lighter of back hair? Only God knows. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place. Thank you to the ladies of Sugar And Bronze for giving me my groove back.
