• I have gone to Stylab since they opened over 3 years ago. Mara has been my stylist and I can't say enough about her knowledge and skill, as well as her insights into what products and techniques would work best with my hair and life style. My hair is healthier than it has ever been, with a contemporary color and styling that gives me a sense of confidence in my workplace, where most of my coworkers are much younger.

• First and foremost, the salon itself is picturesque and very welcoming. It is big and bright with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff there are all very kind and attentive, making it a pleasure to spend time there. I got my hair cut by Mara, who is so patient and lovely as she takes the time to talk to you about what you like and don't like, and talks you through ideas and questions you might have about style or getting the right cut for you (which is extremely helpful for people like me who aren't always sure what looks good or what to do). I left the salon with a haircut and style that made me feel like a million bucks, which put me at ease as I just moved to portland and was worried about having to find a new stylist. I cannot recommend this place enough, do yourself a favor and check it out!

• Stylab is a nice salon with a kind of urban appeal that makes it so interesting and comfortable. The portrait paintings on the wall are wonderful and the music was great too! It's one of those rare salons that don't smell like chemicals when you walk through the door. I took my daughter in for a balayage and cut. She has very long dark fine hair that had never been colored before. Michael did an amazing job! It's so hard to find stylists that take their time to listen to what you want while also sharing and incorporating their creative knowledge and talent all throughout the process. We are very happy with the results and our experience. Thank you so much Michael and Stylab!

• Mara at Stylab Salon is amazing! I received my first waxing this past Saturday and Mara was gentle, thorough, attentive, kind and did a fantastic job! For what was to be a nervous interaction, I felt completely comfortable!
