My daughter had a wonderful week making friends and dancing and learning. The teachers gave good corrections and she felt seen and knew what to work on.
I know Temple's Wednesday 6 PM open Basic ballet class is only scheduled through 8/28, but I would LOVE for it to continue as a regular offering the way the 7:30 Beginner class is a regular offering. I took Temple's Ultimate Intro and Basic workshops and tried a few of her Beginner classes, but the knowledge and skills gap between the level where the Basic workshop ends and the Beginner class starts is simply too big for someone to be ready to take Beginner after only 6 weeks of Basic (not that Temple is doing anything wrong; it's just the nature of different class levels). There's currently a gap at Steps in what people can take between finishing the Basic workshop and being ready for the the Beginner classes, and I would love to be able to continue taking Basic classes at Steps!
Because form me the clases there were the best the ones that I most enjoy during my trip to NYC and I will always say that Steps is the dance center in NYC and also the surrounding of the area is beautiful and the clases of Ballet with live songs it’s just perfect so that’s why.
