Steamwerks Therapeutic Massage

I have tried and tried and tried (only because I moved out of Austin) to find a massage therapist that's as good as Alex. There isn't a single person that came even close to the greatness of Alex. Yes, he's extremely educated on the subject of massage (he also teaches the massage program over at ACC), but I think that it's his passion to learn that makes him so great. He doesn't think he's the best, and continues to do everything that he can to become the best. There's no better type of person to see for anything that has to do with your body... e.g., doctors, and boyfriends.

The facility itself has other massage therapists. You can get deep work done, or the relaxing type of massage (I know there is a name for this, but since I would never even consider doing this type of massage I don't care what it's called). They even pulled in an Acupuncturist recently. I'm not big on Acupuncture... I have tried it several times, but just haven't seen any results. But for those that do, I wouldn't trust anyone more to provide a quality Acupuncturist. These guys know what they're doing!

Although this place is way up in Cedar Park, it really doesn't take that long to get there (obviously, during rush hour I retract this statement). It's right off the toll road, so it takes me about 20 minutes from Central Austin. Worth every. Single. Second.

The #1 reason I am happy to be back in Austin is because I get to go to Advanced Theraputic Massage... and I say this as seriously as I possibly can.

Oh, and one last point... the prices are great.

They're closed, but their webpage let me make an appointment, and confirmed the appointment. The website doesn't indicate they're temporarily closed, and there's no sign on the building. I stood outside for 15 minutes (other reviews indicated sometimes the door is locked, so I waited). I called, I emailed. Then someone showed up and let me know they aren't open yet. Call before you go. I know some massage places have reopened, but apparently not this one.

Always ask where you are having problems and will address that area. I go once a month.

Owner has INCREDIBLE healing hands! My teenage son has a whiplash type injury from an incident at school & has had a lot of neck pain for months (before we figured it out). In just a few sessions, she has gotten his neck freer, his headaches & vision issues greatly reduced & generally made him more relaxed and happy. She has a true gift for healing. I am grateful and thankful to have found her.

I've gotten massages by both Tina and Clara and they were soooo good. They helped me so much with my back, leg and wrist pain. I am soooo sad that this place is closed. I am trying to see if either Tina Barton or Clara Simo have profiles on Facebook so I can ask if they are working anywhere else. They are truly the best!!

I was on the hunt for a great massage in Cedar Park, where I could get in same day and pay a reasonable price. A search on Yelp revealed Advanced Therapeutic Massage. I bought the Yelp deal and was there a few hours later.

It was perfect! When I'm in desperate need of a massage, I actually want someone with skills to relieve my aches and pains, and that's what you get at Advanced Therapeutic Massage. My therapist was Hilary, and she was super friendly, listened to and understood what my needs were, and gave an amazing massage. I like the low-key vibe of the place, and the rooms were very nice, calming, and clean.

I will absolutely be back for another massage, and I'm so happy there's a place like this close to home!

Iv been going to advanced therapeutic massage for about a year now! I go once a week, every week, as I'm a hair stylist and my body is constantly aching after a long week at work. Iv seen Vicki and Naomi. They are both amazing at deep tissue and working my knots out! (Unlike massage envy where I leave still feeling the pain I came in for.) I am now moving to Seattle and sad to leave behind Vicki and her great team behind! I can only hope to find someone as good as they are, definitely recommend supporting this local business over any big massage corps!

I'm usually not the type of person who leaves reviews, but my experience today at Advanced Therapeutic was so disappointing that I feel the need to share my experience. This was my second time coming to Advanced Therapeutic massage, and I had an appointment for a relaxation massage scheduled at 2:30 with Tina. I arrived at the spa 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment and when I tried to open the door to the building it was locked! I thought this was weird but decided to wait a few minutes, thinking surely someone would notice me standing outside and come open the door. At 2:30 I decided to call the office and spoke with Zena, the manager. Zena apologized and told me that she wasn't sure why the door was locked, but that she would get in contact with my massage therapist who would come open the door for me. I think okay great, finally I'll be able to get out of this heat. Another ten minutes go by, and still nothing so I call the office and again speak with Zena who again says she doesn't know why the door is locked. She says it's policy to lock up if only one therapist is there but at that time there were 3! I expressed my frustration for having to wait 20 minutes outside in the heat and again she apologized and said that she would let my therapist know so I could get a discount. She then tells me she thinks the appointments are running long and that she has been unable to reach any of the therapists but she would continue to try and reach them to make sure I get taken care of. I wait another 10 minutes outside and then decide to go sit in my car as a last ditch effort. I waited until 3 o'clock before leaving and could not believe that not once did anyone ever come out of the building. I am very disappointed with my experience today especially because of how good the first time I went was. Unfortunately due to this experience I will not be returning to Advanced Therapeutic Massage again. Luckily I was able to book an appointment at Oak Haven Spa for tomorrow and am hopeful my experience there will be better. The last thing that I will say is when working in a field that's primary focus is literally helping people heal their bodies, good communication should be at the forefront of that healing and Advanced Therapeutic missed the mark by a long shot.

I Have been coming here for a few weeks for treatment after a car accident. I have to say that Tina is so amazing!! She has done a great job and every time I get off the table I feel relaxed and like a brand new person. She always asks me how I feel after the treatment and really taylors her therapy to my areas of discomfort or pain. She is so sweet and I swear her hands are magic! I strongly recommend Tina to anyone who wants to experience the massage of their life!

Went to ATM for the first time today and saw Naomi. She was amazing and really worked out a lot of the pain I was experiencing. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a great massage.
