• Dedicated receptionist at the front who answers the phone and greets customers. Going to a smaller, less-staffed outfit where your practitioner leaves the room to see who came in the front door is not good. Sensing your practitioner slow way down and use only one hand leads me to believe they are texting or updating their status on Facebook in the middle of my visit. This did not happen when I was at Spavia. Although, I must add that Kandis slowed way down at that one point during my left foot massage and then about the same point on my right foot massage - this was where I fell asleep for just a moment both times because it was *just right*. I think she knew that was the point where you can get someone so relaxed they just blink out. It was really wonderful. I've never had a heated massage table before. These are not found at Envy, or at our chiropractor, or the reflexology place, or Blue Moon. Spavia is very clean, in an exaggerated way. Maybe we would see more dirt or dust if the lights were brighter? Doesn't matter as the dim lights were all part of the excellent relaxing atmosphere. The seats, the flooring, the paint on the walls, the tile in the bathroom, the glass, the handles on the doors and lockers, it all looks new. Maybe it's just really well-kept? Kanids was pleasant, confident, present. She didn't look over-worked or tired, and she didn't act like she wanted to be somewhere else. She found knots on the front of my legs. I never knew you could get knots on the front of your legs. Apparently, Kandis is a seasoned professional because no one came knocking on the door to check in and see how she's doing. I guess I bought a massage, not the right to relax until passing out. However, if you can't hear anything else going on and no one butts in to have a 30-second conversation with your practitioner, you can surely sink into oblivion way easier and for a longer stretch. During my visit, I do not recall hearing anything going on anywhere at the facility outside of my own room. I'm pretty sure that was a first for me. Tell Kandis my wife will be there Thursday at 10:20. I can't see her having any less of a pleasant experience as I had. Thank You.
