Dear friends,

It is with mixed emotions that I announce the closing of Soul Story Yoga’s location in downtown Yankton. Our last classes at 215 W 3rd Street were on October 15th, 2020. COVID-19 has changed the landscape of how many yoga studios and small businesses operate around the world. 2019 was truly a great year at SSY, but the unpredictability of the pandemic made the small studio we built no longer financially sustainable.

To continue to support you in your yoga journey, we offer virtual, on-demand classes.

I wish we could all hang out together and reminisce about the good times we’ve shared, but instead I offer this... Thank you all so much for the last 3 years, and especially for your support in keeping us going when so much changed. Thank you to all the amazing teachers and students who have shared this space. Thank you for the relationships built. Thank you for the conversations shared before and after class. Thank you to friends and family members who have offered support throughout. Thank you, even, for the tears cried. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

It has been a huge honor to build this community with you and I will always feel glad to have followed my dream of opening a yoga studio in Yankton. While it is hard to let go of our beautiful location, I know that our yoga community is more than a place and yoga is more than the poses. After all, letting go of attachment is all part of the practice.

Sincerely,
Rebecca Johnson
