I liked how personable and helpful the front desk was when I had questions about my aftercare. I liked how knowledgeable the laser technicians were. But I can recall that I had a laser procedure done and had no eye protection on. They have different techs come in and the this blonde lady didn't use any eye protection. That was the only downside. Other than that the clinic gives you a lot of knowledge and helps you during aftercare.

Receiving laser tattoo removal treatment here. Might be a 5. I'll tell you later. What I can say now is that their pricing for laser tattoo removal is very fair: You buy a package. If you need fewer treatments, they reimburse it. If you need more treatments, they give them to you for free. They basically put so much faith in their ability to estimate how many treatments you'll need that they bear all the cost if they're wrong. That is truly considerate to customers. I need to be able to budget for these treatments, so deeply appreciate how they do this.
As for the treatment itself--it hurts like hell, folks. But it would hurt like hell anywhere (this is my third clinic for this treatment), and their technician does know what she's doing. I know cuz I thought I was going to scar, and she said I won't, and she was right. They keep that laser set to the safest level they can to get your ink gone fast. So far, so good.
I also appreciate that she asks me how I want her to work ("Do this color first, on this part of my arm, then move to that color and start on that part of the arm"). Again, very considerate. I prefer to get the most painful parts over with first, and she goes with that. She also works fast without stopping to talk your ear off (I've had that technician before at another place and I got the hell out of there), which is a must for this treatment.
Highly recommended.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tara H.VA, VA03Mar 7, 2023Updated review
Again the owner states they are waiting for documentation I was burned. The owner has never reached out to me, but keeps saying they are waiting for the documentation. I've hired an attorney.

We are still waiting for the documentation that your PHYSIQ blister is not from friction(you said the MD was your sister.)Why not post the plastic surgeon's name? That's not private info. Blisters from pinched/rubbed skin are classified the same as blisters that develop from a hot object. The PHYSIQ has 4 paddles. Each paddle is around 8 square inches. All paddles emit the same laser energy. If laser burns occur, they take the shape of the surface area admitting the heat. You would have a huge 8 square-inch mark on your stomach & not a pimple-sized spot. As you know, it's a very minor normal side effect & will resolve.

I used the Physiq Service at this business and the device burned and scarred me. When I tried to work with the owner, she stated all sales are final since it is a promo I paid for. The owner additionally stated that I do not have a scar and that the blister I had was from friction from the muscle contractions; however, the area treated was only heat and the muscle contractions were never used in the area that was burned/too hot. I even tried telling the owner I had text proof that it was too hot (text between myself and the tech) and the owner ignored this. The owner additionally later offered an in-store credit, to which I declined due to not being comfortable with the services at their business anymore. The owner then offered a regular rate refund since I was not continuing with the promotional service. The service I paid for was $2K and the refund offered was around $750. I continued to explain my discomfort and how I now have a scar and just want my money back. The purpose of this review is not to slander the business, but to ensure that if you are a patient at this esthetic spa to beware of their business practices.
Hello Tara,
We are very sorry to hear about the misunderstanding you’re having with your PHYSIQ treatments and aftercare. As you’ve personally experienced from the many services completed at our office ( besides your PHYSIQ treatments)… all laser treatments produce (one or possibly all) the following side effects…i.e. redness, tenderness, swelling, blistering, scabs, bruising, inflammation, hyperpigmentation, and hyperpigmentation.
PHYSIQ aftercare and side effects are mild in comparison to the other laser services you’ve had with us where your downtime was significant with bruising, swell, scabbing, and inflammation, which required a minimum of 8 weeks of healing. You’ve developed a friction blister (a very common side effect) with PHYSIQ treatments as the skin can get pinched between the paddles. Also, movement of the paddles through breathing or muscle contractions can cause friction during treatment as well. Be that as it may, friction blisters are a very minor side effect that does not require medical attention. The elevation of the blister bubble resolves in around a week, and then a minor scab will form. The scab will fall off in a week or two. After that, the area can look a little pink, (like a pimple) and that will resolve. This healing process is exactly the same as a blister on the foot. When you initially contacted us about the friction blister, we assured you it was a common but minor side effect that can occur with treatment and provided information about care. A week has passed, and as we discussed, the elevation of the bubble is down, and now you have a minor scab the size of a pimple. You are still in the early healing stage and just need to give the spot adequate time to heal. You had no issue allowing for proper healing timeframe with your other treatments (8-weeks), but now expect a friction blister to be fully healed in 1-week. Please be patient with the healing process…think about how long it takes a pimple to heal. Once you decided you were not willing to follow aftercare and allow adequate time for the treatment area to heal, we said we would refund the unused services minus the promotional discount because you were breaking the promotional terms. As previously discussed, we cannot give you preferential treatment as this is not fair to our clients who pay for single services and don’t get a discount. No client is more privileged than another. We are fair and equal to all. The discount was for the promotional package, we informed you of this numerous times, which you were aware of and consented to prior to your treatment. Regardless of your unwillingness to follow aftercare instructions, we were willing to negate the terms of your agreement and issue a refund. We also offered an additional military discount towards the single treatments that were redeemed. We have been more than fair with you considering your violation of policy. What’s disconcerting…is that all of this could have been avoided if you were reasonable with your healing timeframe as you previously were. The skin is a living organ, and its healing process is organic. All that’s required is a little time.Feb 27, 2023Previous reviewUpdate to the owner. You have not contacted me at all, yet instead you keep responding on yelp. You certainly have never formally requested medical reviews from 2 doctors I sought expertise from. My sister is also a doctor, but I did not request a formal dr note from her, naturally, conflict of interest.
I wrote your business this morning asking for one last time for resolve and I have not received a response. I'm being forced otherwise to hire the attorney I've sought guidance from already.
This is my last message, please reach out to me by email versus on yelp. My medical records are secure information protected under HIPPA. I have 2 board certified doctors who I've consulted with and confirmed the second (possible first) degree burn. I also have images right after the session and messages telling your technician that the device was too hot multiple times. Additionally, messages later that evening and thereafter.
I will not continue to discuss the resolve after today. I've tried too many times.Feb 26, 2023Previous reviewAnother update 2/26:
Owner removed by editing their response to me that I need to provide a doctors note I was burned and that the burn was not from a family member who burned me. I save and screenshot everything!
I won't tolerate being treated so terribly.
This is another update on 2/26:
It's very frustrating when you state inaccurate information.
This occurred on 2/7. It is 2/26, by my math, that is more than 4 days. I will only release my medical records to you if you're willing to take care of this unfortunate patient safety event. I haven't received any emails from you. Please resolve via email.
By a family member? How dare you further insult me. I'm a retired Air Force Military Officer, integrity is what I have and lying to get my money back is a disgusting accusation. Your business continues to not take ownership. Your technician saw the initial, yes in a square shape, redness after the treatment. That later turned into a blister. She saw it and I even sent her a text letting her know about it. I have everything documented. Cease and desist insults.
This is an update due to the disappointing response from the owner.
1. Again, I never received a friction blister. A board certified physician looked at the now scar and confirmed that what I have is not from friction but rather a "Second Degree Thermal Injury". I let your business know that I went to a doctor, but I never received a response.
2. As far as the aftercare, I never discussed with anyone from your business about not taking care of my skin, so to insinuate I did is again disappointing. I used Neosporin daily, multiple times.
3. Refund? You offered a refund of around $700 and I paid $2000. Understood, what I paid was the promo price, but to not offer a full refund of the remaining unused services plus the service where I was burned, is disheartening. Further, preferential treatment is not relevant in this case as I was burned and it could have been avoided. I told your technician multiple times the device was too hot. I had to pay to for a doctor to look at it and take time away from work just because you didn't believe me that I was burned and deal with this stress of trying to get my money back. All I asked for was a refund of the service because I was uncomfortable continuing the service.
I think being burned and uncomfortable to continue with services is hardly preferential treatment. You had a customer who would have been very loyal. How customers are treated is everything.Feb 23, 2023Previous reviewI used the Physiq Service at this business and the device burned and scarred me. I'd previously had a session about 10 weeks ago at a *different* tattoo removal business in NOVA and hesitated on going back for a number of reasons. So, I did my research online and found Skin Deep as a result. I'm glad I came here for a tattoo removal consult. Christina is credible, honest and thorough. I opted to have my first session with Skin Deep after the consult. I was in and out in less than one hour.
Pros:
They encourage you (but do not pressure you) to purchase a package of sessions. Why is this a pro? Because they don't just take a wild guess; they use a research model that recommends a certain number of sessions based on your tattoo (e.g., size, color, etc.), skin color, etc. Do not hesitate to spend the $$ up front and commit. Christine will explain all of this in full detail when you arrive for your consult.
Their prices are reasonable. But if you're concerned about what you get quoted, remember that nothing worthwhile comes cheap.
The facility is clean and the staff are friendly and professional.
Parking is no issue and it's free.
The removal process is relatively fast (your time will depend on the size of your tattoo but for reference mine is on the small side).
I don't have any cons about my initial experience here. The process in general is not fun. It hurts but it's typical and to be expected. Good news is that in my opinion it's not worse then getting a tattoo, body piercing, etc. Christine will take breaks if you need it (I opted for that), she gives you a stress ball to squeeze and you have to just breathe.
The end result is all worth it.
In closing, tattoo removal is not a fast process. It requires commitment, willingness to follow the after-care instructions and a healthy lifestyle so you can heal faster (that will help - hydrate, eat well, rest, etc.). I am really happy I found this place and I did purchase a package and will continue all of my treatment sessions here. Of course I will update my review once I have completed by treatment.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Highly recommend Skin Deep Laser Services for both the CO2 fractional laser and tattoo removal. The technician, Christine, is the most knowledgeable laser technician I was able to find, and she lived up to her reputation. She can explain in detail the physics of the procedures as well as the aesthetics. She takes time to be thorough both in communicating about the procedures and in performing the laser work. I am absolutely thrilled with my post-laser face--the CO2 fractional laser treatment removed all of the age spots and tiny wrinkles and left my skin glowing and fresh. I'm also very happy with the tattoo removal work, which is taking multiple treatments and progressing very well. Christine is excellent. The office manager, Kate, is also fantastic--she can answer most any question about cost, before- and after-procedure care, and products. Both Christine and Kate are quick to respond to emails or phone calls, and they are prompt (i.e., no long wait times). They are also COVID-safe.

A couple years ago I went to get my eyebrows microbladed and during my touchup the woman went way too high on my left eyebrow. One of my eyebrows has since then always been slightly taller than the other and I finally was tired of looking at it. This morning I went to see Sara and Christina at Skin Deep to fix it. Christina was so knowledgeable and educated me on the process of breaking down the ink particles in the body. Then, Sarah zapped me and within 30 seconds and barely any discomfort, I was done! My eyebrows finally look like sisters. These ladies were so great and really know what they are doing!

I had mole and milia removal done by Christina and she was absolutely wonderful! She was very thorough in her explanation of the procedure that was to be done and ensured that I was very comfortable. She informed me of what she was about to do every step of the way. I was absolutely amazed at the instant results and surprised at how quickly they came to be! My fiancé was even so impressed by her work and is now interested in having a mole removed by Christina! I would highly recommend Skin Deep Laser Services to anyone!!

The receptionist and the rest of staff are always polite and engaging. They always remember me and what we talk about, even though I only go for a few minutes once every couple of months.
While tattoo removal is not going to be painless, they do a great job of minimizing the pain and distracting you during the procedure. The company gives you a comprehensive breakdown of pricing and if you pay for your whole treatment up front, they make sure to back up their claims with free treatments if you're not finished when they originally estimated. I'd highly recommend them!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I had such a wonderful experience at Skin Deep Laser Services! From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Christina was lovely and extremely knowledgeable. She put me at ease and took the time to not only evaluate the potential causes of the skin discoloration I was having, but then walked me through the treatment options and laser process every step of the way. I am extremely satisfied with the results and cannot recommend Christina and Skin Deep Laser Services enough!

I'm attaching the before procedure pictures, the after the procedure and after three weeks. I can't describe how I feel about my results!! Christina and the front office staff were super polite! From the first appointment I felt super comfortable and secure that the information Christina was providing made sense! I even made an appointment for my mom who had the same skin problem. She is super happy with her results as well as me ! I would recommend this place to everybody who is looking to get lesions removed. Best place. And during this pandemic the process to get you in the office makes you feel secure.
