It's been many years and countless services that I have had the pleasure of experiencing at Zodiac! I could not love Alicia more - although all the girls are so fun to interact with. I get so many compliments on my hair! Andy is amazing as well and they are quite the dynamic duo! Love this spa and the people so much! Highly recommend!

Alicia is the owner and the gal who keep my pixie cut looking fabulous. She's easy to talk to and it's very apparent she has a great rapport with her clients and staff. During COVID, her salon maintained CDC-recommended safety precautions and she listened to the needs and concerns of her staff as they slowly went back to normal operation.
Alicia is very skilled with pixies. She's had one herself and learned firsthand how to figure out how to tweak pixies by area or shape to get the desired look. She's passionate about continuous education - just last appointment she was telling me how excited she was to take a class in New York in "pixie techniques." (Unfortunately, she learned it was offered only virtually.)
The salon is 3-stories tall with mani/pedis on the 2nd floor and treatment rooms (facials, massages, waxing, etc...) on the 3rd. I've gotten my brows waxed with Jenn once and the treatment room was very well decorated with a door that was closed to maintain privacy during the treatment.
I definitely recommend Alicia, Jenn, and Heidi at Shearology Salon and Spa. I've seen their work on other clients over the months I've been getting my own hair cut and I'm always impressed with the cuts and color they produce. My initial review was extremely frustrated. However, after the owner of the salon contacted both me and my relative, I feel that the situation has been amended. A few technology issues and some miscommunication were the cause of this unfortunate event, but I am pleased to say that the owner took quick and authentic responsibility for what went wrong on her end. I would also like to accept responsibility for not keeping my appointment in the first place.
I have no hard feelings toward the salon nor the owner, and this experience does say a lot about the difficulties faced and overcome by small businesses.
I appreciate the action taken by the owner whole-heartedly, as does my relative, who has been a customer there for so many years. Though I might not get the chance to return to Shearology while I'm here, my relative is very glad that things have been resolved and to return for her next hair appointment. Hi- I am sorry to see this review and want to respond here as well as message you directly.
I am sorry to hear about your feelings of inadequacy on our part, I was unaware that you had that experience.
As for the incident today. When we learned that we would be able to reopen our salon after the 5 week closure I had reached out to your mom about keeping her appointment- as I knew she had booked months prior. She stated that she wanted you to have her appointment, which was no problem at all. I left the appointment on the calendar under your moms name even though I knew it was not her coming in- and for that I am sorry.
Trying to fit clients in and working to follow all the new guidelines has made things very different and I admit we are working to find a “new normal” through it all, and doing the beat we can.
At 8 minutes after- I reached out to see if you were planning on coming in and stated a time frame that would still be workable. Unfortunately I messaged through our software and it went to your mom and not to you, which again was my error.
After realizing that the miscommunication really was my error- I stated that I was not going to be enforcing our no show fee or charge anything for today’s appointment.
There really isn’t much to say other than it is unfortunate this had to happen. It may not seem this way to you now- but we really are trying to do the best we can under the current circumstances.

My daughter was so happy to find someone who was in our area to make her hair the way she wanted. They were awesome and were great with her. It was her first time having her hair colored and she enjoyed being there. Thank you for being patient with a teenager. y'all made her day.

Buyer beware, this place is a complete rip off! Apparently they shorted me in time for my hair appointment. The girl told me she had an appointment after mine and couldn't do a full color with highlights. In reality, she just didn't want to stay later because the receptionist already told me I was the last appointment for the day. Then she wanted to charge me extra to dye my eyebrows when she already would have the dye mixed and discard the remaining dye. She tried to tell me it was the law. I have never, NEVER in the 25 years of dying my hair had someone refuse to do it. Extremely poor business. I walked out and will never go back. Nor would I ever recommend them!

I am sorry that our stylist was unable to stay later than what was scheduled today. She has a death in her family this week and did have an “appointment” outside of the salon to be at the viewing, which is why she explained that she did not have time for the full highlight within the time that was scheduled, as it was unfortunately only scheduled as an all over color. I can look into which one of our staff scheduled it this way, and create more defined questions to avoid this confusion in the future.
As for the brow tint, at Shearology we strongly adhere to the laws. According to the FDA and the regulations we have been given by the health department. In the link below you will see that hair dye is not to be used on eyebrows.

I was able to grab an appt this morning with Erin, as she had a cancellation. This was my first time at this salon. It is quaint, cozy & stylish :) It has an great relaxing vibe to it. I'm not a hair expert & rely on hairdressers to help me choose the best cut. Erin was amazing. She guided me through a hair style. This is the best haircut I've had in YEARS! it's fun, has of movement, easy to manage, on trend. It's the haircut I've always wanted, but could never explain. Erin gets me & my style. She also took the time to share tips on how to curl my hair using a curling iron. I will be back to have her color my hair AND to style my hair before our family photos. So great to know that she provides that service too! Thank you!!!!

We love Erin! She has done a fantastic job on my son's haircuts and we have gotten so many compliments on his amazing do. She is so patient and explains everything very clearly to him, and that definitely helps his nerves. We highly recommend her!

Shearology is great!! The ladies there are amazing so friendly and they go out of their way to make you comfortable and do such a great job. If you need somewhere amazing to get your hair done make an appointment NOW!!

My mother gets her hair set and done every 2 weeks, with a color every other month. She is so happy in comparison to her previous salon in California. All I can say is that they take great care of their clients, and do a great job! Thanks again Alisha!
