I visited this past week for the Sound Bath Meditation. It was wonderful. It was the perfect way to end the work week. Very relaxing and I'll definitely plan to return again. Great experience!

Solid expertise, gentleness, excellent results, & Anna laughed at my jokes. I look forward to at least two follow-up sessions.
I went for Iyengar Yoga to help heal from a bad fall. I'm still feeling some pain after 6 months, have lost height, and am stooped. Her treatment helped me stand up straight, decreased the pain, and I slept through the night with no sleep aids for the first time in many months.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Elaine H.Los Angeles, CA15813Jun 21, 2022
I've been going to Shakti Yoga since moving to Maplewood from Los Angeles and I feel so beyond lucky to have this amazing place nearby. Especially after being spoiled in California with amazing yoga studios, Shakti is right up there with them. Such good vibes and very clean in the studio. Ires Wilbanks' prenatal yoga class has been a life saver. She is very skilled and knowledgeable and my body feels 1000% better since going.

I love this studio, the calm and the energy, and the clases, which range from beginner level to highly challenging. I have been practicing for decades and all over the country. Shakti has an oasis feel amidst the hectic feel of life around here, and feels more peaceful, mindful about fostering this atmosphere than some of the larger, more marketed studios in the NY Metro Area. It reminds me of some of the studios I loved out west.
Anna and her wonderful cadre of teachers love teaching and living yoga. Also some super great programs, from pre/post natal, family classes, holistic healing. I look forward to the stage when my babies are grown and I can make Anna's morning Mysore class on the regular.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Gisselle J.Manhattan, NY02Jun 28, 2021
Unfortunately my only two encounters with this yoga studio have been awful. Kathleen, I'm not sure what her name is. She was in the studio this evening before closing. Has been aggressive and disrespectful. She has been nothing but rude anytime we spoke. Her energy is extremely hostile. I came to the studio before closing with a question and during our conversation she slammed the door in face. Her attitude is horrible.

I love this yoga studio. My body and posture have changed because of yoga. I highly recommend to go take a class to transform your mind and body!

Welcoming space, amazing massage and body work by Anna (the best I've ever had) and a wonderful grounded vibe in the studio. I wish I lived closer so I could take classes in person regularly !

Shakti is one of the best reasons to live in Maplewood. The teachers are high quality and offerings are diverse
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 5, 2019Previous reviewShakti is the reason we stay in Maplewood. Their teachers are fantastic and literally saved my husband's life and sanity by introducing him to yoga. He has multiple sclerosis and without yoga would be much worse off. I also love the teachers and classes and qigong and somatics and Thai massage.
