Standard nail salon located above the Greene Turtle in Fells Point. Overall, the salon is much nicer than other salons I have been to in Baltimore. It feels more homey as a result of the few tables (3 or 4) for manicures and two seats for pedicures. It's much more intimate and as a result they avoid the basic decked-out pleather look most salons promote.
You have to make an appointment in advance. Even with an appointment expect that you may not be seen on time as they do not have staff waiting around to help the next customer. You will have to wait until the other appointment is completed.
They have a limited color selection. However, it is all naturally based products which is a huge win. In addition, you smell none of chemical scents that often waft through salons.
The prices are more expensive than at other nail salons but for the cozy and more low-key experience I think it's worth it. Everything feels more personalized and clearly shows that it is not a numbers game to rush the next customer in and out as quickly as possible. They take their time and truly care about the end result.
I chose a translucent color that ended up turning out rather iridescent. I was offered the chance to have the whole gel manicure redone since the color varied so much between the bottle and the end result. I ended up loving the color but the customer service really sold me. This manicure went on to last about three weeks while I was on vacation.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 3, 2020
I have always been a fan of the services provided by the professionals at Scrub. Even before Covid, this establishment focused on maintaining and promoting cleanliness to ensure the health and safety of employees and guests.
I usually a timeless mani and pedi with a take care package.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - erika G.Cincinnati, OH10810Jun 1, 2021
I received gel-X service on a Saturday, today is Tuesday and I'm missing 2 nails. I've emailed the salon 3 times with no response to my concerns regarding this $100 service they didn't apply correctly. The salon don't offer a number to call with your concerns regarding your service. Don't waste your time nor money with this salon.

I am a very lucky person who doesn't have to venture out to Scrub Nail Boutique to get my nails done. Rather, they travel over to my company's site with their equipment and set up a makeshift travel nail salon.
I usually get the Timeless Mani, which costs $22 and takes about 45 minutes maximum. They take care of my cuticles, trim and shape my nails, moisturize my hands with lotion and paint my nails.
They do a great job and don't take too long. It's a great way to break up a random work day! They also take credit card- you can even tip on the card.
No complaints here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Liz S.Baltimore, MD01Dec 9, 2021
I made an appointment and it appears to have been canceled via an automated text service three hours before the appt. The phone number provided is also NOT IN SERVICE?!? so I sent an email. This is a terrible customer service practice, esp if the customer is required to give 24 hours notice to cancel, the business should be held to the same standard. I don't even know what to say about not having a functional phone number. I understand unexpected events occur but at least contact your clients in person.
If I ever get a chance to speak to an actual human about my appt and feel it's worth my time to patronize Scrub I'll update my review. But until then this has been an extremely disappointing experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stevie H.Baltimore, MD2143May 11, 2019
Made an appt. For.10am on a Saturday. Went to.appt was 7 min early. Door was locked called phone no answer. Sent message on Facebook no answer for 10min finally responded but had already left due to no answer for 10 min. Was messaging them and then they block me (I was not rude on any way was seeing how to resolve the issue). Was told the issue was i was to early 7 min early. Not professional.

Hello,
I explained to you that we do not open before 10, these are simply our business hours and in no way meant just to keep you out, but never once did I tell you “the issue was you were too early”.
If you’d like to post the conversation to show I actually said this to you, I welcome it.
What I actually told you was that I was told I had to move my car for today’s festival, I ran out to do so quickly and it took me a moment longer than I anticipated. After messaging you before 10, to apologize, you had already left before your appointment time-which is even before we open for business.
I also did not block you. I have no reason to do so.
I appreciate your consideration to come to us for a service, I do hope you have an enjoyable service wherever you go for your mani pedi. - Jamie F.Baltimore, MD31214343May 22, 2021
I absolutely love Ms. Cathy!!! She is so nice and her work is so good!!! I'm biased now lol. I don't anyone else doing my pedicure. She is worth the $40 + tip! I wish they had more colors to choose from

One of Baltimore's hidden gems!
The staff is extremely nice, the color selection is vast and it is squeaky clean!
The salon prides itself on natural products and you won't smell a whiff of nail polish or toxic chemicals.
Warning: by appointment ONLY so plan ahead and book!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer G.Indianapolis, IN0615Jun 1, 2019

Scrub Nail Boutique is by far the most professional nail salon I've ever been to & here's why:
1. The music/playlist is on point. A soothing & diverse selection of Beyoncé, John Mayer, Adele, Erykah Badu & Sam Smith, just to name a few.
2. Customer Service was A1. I was offered coffee, tea, or water upon walking into my appointment early. Jasmine, my nail technician & the owner of Scrubs took her time on my pedicure and even educated me about some pressure I was feeling in my left big toe. I love the appointment only setup. It's pretty private & calming. I didn't feel rushed or like "just another customer," which was nice.
3. Conveniently located in Fells right by the Greene Turtle & Capitol Mac. I loved that I could easily find parking in the middle of the day and go grab a bite after I was done.
4. Most importantly, Scrubs is a Black & woman owned shop and I'm ALL about supporting that ;)Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
