Salon 718 - Vanderbilt

I had accidentally went to the wrong location, but the folks at Salon 718 - Vanderbilt were so accommodating and took me in anyways for a blowout appointment.

The whole process was quick and easy. I got amazing hairstyle from Nicole and was very happy with my experience.

Bit on the pricey side but worth the money for quality work and service! The atmosphere is very cool, clean, and modern with a fun aesthetic. My stylist was extremely helpful and kind and helped me to understand how to style my hair to guide my part and the next steps to adding color for my next appointment! I loved my experience and will definitely be back!

I get so nervous when it comes to trying a salon for the first time, but my experience at Salon 718 couldn't have been better! Ariana cut my hair and she was incredible. I'm so happy with the final result and she was great about checking in along the way to make sure the cut was turning out how I wanted. This will definitely be my new go-to salon!

I want to give a shout out to Marlene who cut my curly hair today. I went in last week to schedule with Jonathan but he had limited availability. I met Marlene then and she assured me that she was a curl specialist.

I will 100% request Marlene again. She brought curls back that I hadn't seen since high school. I immediately started receiving compliments on my hair. She really listened to me, took time to style me right, and was super sweet. Thanks Marlene!

Haircut was ok, my ask was also very simple, but the overall service wasn't great, lack of attention, washing chair was uncomfortable, and I almost got heat burn on back of my neck from blow dry (by the assistant, clearly inexperienced), and only a casual sorry. I told the cashier about it when I pay, she was like "oh let me see...humm I don't see anything, it seems fine...I'll tell her it was too hot". I was speechless by that response, cold and unapologetic, take customers for granted, didn't even try to show empathy or care. What's up with salon services these days, they charge so much for so little services...

Came for a keratin treatment but left with frizzy, thin hair that reverted back to its natural state within 24hrs. Experienced SO much breakage during the process due to the stylist combing my dry 4c hair with a fine tooth comb. My hair was handled roughly throughout the entire experience and just hasn't been the same since this appointment...I think I may just need to cut it off at this point. I regret going to this salon so so much. Don't recommend for women with textured hair

Just moved to the area and needed a good chop! So happy I found this salon. Got my hair cut with Giulia and she was great- so sweet and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!

One of the best haircuts for curly hair that I've ever had in NYC with Jackie. I also messed the times up and showed up an hour early & they still managed to fit me in. It's a pricey haircut, but very worth it!

Jen sent me home with hair that wasn't totally dry or styled so it was hard for me to know if she gave me a good cut or not. It also felt like she was rushed through the entire cut. I wouldn't say it was bad but I definitely won't be coming back - there are better and other places to go in Brooklyn.
