      Came to Salon O Sixty-Five for a haircut and loved it! Felix was very friendly and talkative. He took his time to listen to what I was looking to do with my hair. He also gave me some tips for improved haircare! At many hair salons, I have felt like the process was rushed but Felix took his time and paid attention to detail throughout the entire process. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend coming here for your next haircut!

      Super clean cute modern salon. I was pampered here by Felix who took amazing care of me!! I was lucky to find a Groupon for color, cut and blow out for a little under $80. Felix took his time on my hair and has a VERY relaxing gentle touch as well as a soothing voice.
      I felt sooo relaxed in his chair! !
      My only complaint was I was here three hours for a single process color, while it was extremely relaxing I felt stressed I spent so much time here.

      They also offer complimentary wine and coffee, always a nice touch!

      I went there to get a balayage with Haley. To start off I got a weird vibe from her. She wasn't friendly at all and didn't try to engage in conversation so that made the appointment a little awkward. She took 10 minutes to do my balayage and then sat me under a heat lamp for 30 minutes and then proceeded to tell me that she doesn't have time to dry my hair. I booked the appointment online which said the appointment I had scheduled was for 1 hour and 45 minutes for a balayage. They only put me down for 1 hour. She said the styling was extra, which is fine but no one would style it for me. She sits me down and asks me what type of brush I want so I can blow dry it myself .... I've never been to a salon where they color your hair and don't blow dry it and style it.


      The salon never called me to ask if I would like a blow dry, that is a lie. It also took the owner a month to reach out for my poor hair balayage done with a response deflecting her business' poor service.

      Wow. All I can say is wow (and not the good kind of wow). Where do I even begin...

      I had an appointment with Hailey on Tuesday 3/12. I guess you could say it all started going wrong while she was washing out the color. She was mentioning that she had a haircut and could send me home with wet hair and I told her sorry I can't really hear you with this water in my ears... she said that she had a haircut appointment but could send me home with wet hair or I could wait to get it blown dry. I told her I wanted to see my hair dry before I left, so she said okay I have to finish my haircut and then we will dry your hair. After waiting an hour, she was finally ready to finish me. When I sat in the chair and looked in the mirror I mentioned I was a bit concerned with how gold it looked and asked if it was just because it's wet. She started to blow dry the front pieces and they turned out to be fine. After she was done she said bye and disappeared. Never handed me a mirror to look at the back, didn't toss my hair around to show dimension, never asked again that I was happy. I went to check out and to my surprise, the price was higher than what I had booked for online. I voiced my concern and the front desk girl offered to go get Hailey so I could talk to her directly, however, the desk girl came back with no Hailey. Hailey told her she charged me for toner and blow dry and that it wasn't included and that's why it was more. I asked for her to come to talk to me but she would not. At this point I had been there for over 4 hours and was furious. As soon as I got home and looked closer at my hair, I saw the disaster. My roots were gold. I face timed my cousin who said I looked like I had gold spray paint on my roots. The pictures attached are from not even an hour after leaving the salon. I hoped that if I showered it would look better... maybe something was still there that shouldn't? I called on Thursday morning 3/14 after giving it 24 hours. I asked for a manager, the guy said he was, and after explaining my story said he would have to talk to the owner and have her call me. She returned my call Wednesday 3/21, after I had called a second time on 2/20 almost a week after I first called and voiced concern and over a week after my appointment. The owner was probably now the best part... she told me that online when you book, the prices show "Starting at". Please see screenshots below which do NOT say starting at but just show a set cost. She also said that the toner is part of the service but the reason the prices show "starting at" (but they don't, photos attached). She also said that the blow dry was an added service. She did not offer to correct my hair, she did not offer to reimburse me, she only argued with me. I mentioned how I felt that Hailey should've said you need toner and it'll be an extra $20 is that okay, and that I thought it was shady and not transparent. Kristen, the owner, then said well did you ask how much it was?...............

      In summary, if you want to go to a place that will just add services without you knowing they are added, this is your place. If you want gold blonde instead of white blonde, this is your place. If you want to speak with the owner and feel disrespected and unappreciated as a customer, this is your place. If you want a salon that cares about their customers, is honest and works hard to provide a great service, this is NOT your place.

      I was taken in by Felix for a single process color and a haircut. Felix did a great job on the haircut. However I am disappointed with the color service. Felix was good to pick up the color and it blended well with my base hair. But he did not cover my hair at all with the single process coat. I was particular about my crown area and kept mentioning to him to recheck my coverage. I came home to find grey hair still shining. Felix is soft and gentle and gave good overall service but he clearly missed to achieve coverage with my hair treatment. I feel like I have wasted my bucks since single process was my primary reason for the salon visit. I have been trying to call this salon but reach voice message every time and no one has responded to my voice messages too.


      Kristin - Thanks for response. Is there a number I could reach? The salon one is on voice message all the time. Nobody picks it up.

      I had to take the time to write a review, this salon is so incredible and I absolutely love Kristin. She makes you feel like you're best friends right off the bat. I did not need to do a lot of explaining as to what I was looking for when it came to my color and extensions. Which is exactly what you want in a stylist, someone that just gets it!

      Natural beaded row extensions are the absolute best, I will never go back to tape ins! I have had this type of extension from another stylist in the past, and their is no comparison to the hair that Kristin uses. They are manageable and style well everytime. It truly feels like my own hair!

      If you are debating extensions, definitely go see Kristin and her team at Salon O Sixty-Five you won't regret it!!

      Kristin and the team at Salon O Sixty Five put their clients first and are amazing. From when I first went to this salon to fix my "helmet" hair, from stylists who didn't know or admit that they were unfamiliar with cutting curly hair, to a great cut that makes me confident that my hair looks great. I trust my hair to Kristin and she goes the extra mile every time. Thank you Salon O Sixty Five. Wish I had found you years earlier!!

      I used a Groupon to try this salon and was excited as I read some good reviews and have always been curious since I frequently walk by this location. Let me preface: I used to work in an upscale salon years ago and I admit, I can be a tough judge with service and atmosphere.. however Im my opinion I feel these are important factors since an average expectation in heading to a salon as a female is that it is your oasis for beauty and you should leave feeling good.

      Upon entry I found the location minimalist, cute and tidy. It has an open and crisp ambiance to it. The receptionist however, was semi friendly and also was not one for a first impression. She was not well put together. A receptionist in my opinion is the salons first impression and best marketing effort, in addition to the Stylists themselves. She offered to take my coat, handed me a robe and also offered a beverage.

      As I waited to find out who my Stylist was, I sat on the couch observing the place and was on/off my phone surfing the web. I noticed a woman whom I was unsure of she was a Stylist at first. As she was pacing while on her phone, I could not help but hear her conversation regarding her new customer getting a service done. She spoke loudly a couple feet away and without repeating the conversation, all I can say is that it was NOT positive. My initial feeling was hope in that this Stylist was not mine. I should've asked the receptionist, regrettably I did not.

      Fast forward....This "pacing" Stylist was mine and although friendly, she was a little scissor happy and cut too much off as in inches. I did not ask for anything complex: keep the style the same, possibly an inch shorter and to remove some bulk since I have thick hair. On the spot it was styled well in which I told her. It also was much lighter but when you take inches off naturally it would be. I felt like I couldn't complain since they can't return your hair. How do you also go back, even if they choose to refund you or comp service for next time if you feel disappointed and loss of faith initially. Nonetheless I didn't bother to exercise my disappointment. The haircut was not terrible (as in take the day off work), but it was not good. Considering the Stylists extensive years in the profession, I had higher expectations.

      Grateful my hair grows fast.

      Hailey is awesome! Multiple friends have referred her to me for color and I'm so glad I did! She was super helpful in choosing the right color for me. She explained step by step the process of lightening my hair and answered all of my questions regarding care post color. It was a wonderful experience, reasonably priced, and beautifully done- 5 Star Experience!!

      Update: I went to Hailey for the second time and I'm so happy with the results. Highly recommend her to anyone looking to change up their style!

      Called to schedule for a single process and haircut. Was told the first available later than 3pm (as in some people work 9-5's) was almost a month out. Ouch! Didn't end up going with this salon. Be cautious if you need to book on short notice!
