I’m so grateful that I found Ronin Athletics! It has been a blessing in my life for the short amount of time I have been there. It has a safe, fun, collegial environment that is directly attributed to Coach Christian. He is a total badass, but he is also one of the most humble, friendly and welcoming human beings I have (and will) ever meet! This is what sets the tone for the gym. It is a dream of mine to learn Jiu jitsu and take it as far as I can. But I thought I was too old to start as I am older now and more injury prone and have a family to take care of. But the systematic way he teaches you before allowing you to roll has helped me learn and feel confident that when the time comes to roll I will be able to do so. I also feel that (even though I haven’t entered the Master Cycle yet) the safe, collegial environment Christian has established will allow everyone to roll with intensity and push one another to become better without intentionally trying to cause injury. This is hard to find in a Jiu jitsu gym! The other instructors there such as Bart are also incredible martial artists and friendly awesome human beings! Thanks for letting me train there!!
