• I've enjoyed my massage appointments over the past several years. I wanted to mention, however, a few occasions where another massage therapist was assigned to me without seeing if I would be okay with the reassignment. Please note, this had absolutely nothing to do with my provider being out that day. In fact when I arrived for the appointment, it was only then I was notified of the change. In fact, when I expressed my objection, the appointment was corrected and I saw Nicole as scheduled. More recently however I was notified via telephone about 2 days prior to my appointment with Nicole that I would be seeing a male massage therapist instead. I reminded the female staff member of my scheduled appointment and was told that Nicole was scheduled with someone else during the time I was originally scheduled with her. I opted to wait an additional 2 weeks in order to be scheduled with Nicole. I wanted to bring this to the spa's attention primarily due to the fact that I work in the field of mental health. Receiving physical touch is an area that involves personal vulnerability and trust. The fact that it appears the spa is either unaware about this or chooses to ignore this is a concern.
