Starlite is an amazing person. Our little guy thinks on his feet. He is in constant movement, but has enjoyed doing yoga at home or in school, so I thought we were ready to try it in a studio. Yesterday he came into class on another level. I have never seen him act that crazy around outsiders. At first, I was embarrassed, which then moved to panic (what if we ruin it for others), but Starlite worked with him. She gave us permission to relax, by letting us know that family doesn't need to correct family and that whatever you feel compelled to do is the right thing. Had it been any other teacher, I would have quietly pulled our son to the side and talked about inside behavior, but she leaned into it all. I am happy to report that his body responded positively when we got home. I think it was good for me to not control the situation and for him to beloved on in public when he was being playful. I hope there are more family classes in the future.
