I never write reviews but I have been getting gel manicures for 13 years in New York. I go to their new location for gels. $40/50 dollars later I go home and TWO days following my apt the nails are peeling and breaking. They fix. Less than three days after that a totally new polish still peels off. I come back a third time and they charge me for the manicure. Would avoid. I will give two stars as they tried and meant well but not OK.

Tragic!! We live in a world that caters to the fake!!! So sad but not surprised. Nail salons that I've walked by plenty of times over many years while living in the west village can't help when I need the simplest thing done. It drives be nuts when I walk into a nail salon for a regular manicure and the 1st thing they say is Tip, fill in, gel. Instead of looking at my nails 1st
Today I have a split nail. It's not grown out enough that I can cut it & of course a dab of crazy glue isn't enough. I walked in and everyone looks at me like I have 5 heads. Yes I guess being natural makes me the weirdo. A sad weirdo because with all that this business offers for nails no one was capable of simply doing a nail repair. And this was the 2nd place I tried on this streetHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gail A.Manhattan, NY17515140Jun 4, 2023
Wow this place stinks. First of all, it just isn't clean. They sat me down to get my nails done where the previous customer had left food garbage. They didn't wipe any surface clean while I was there. It was filthy. My friend and I both had appointments at the same time. I was taken immediately and she had to wait an hour. The customer service was rude, the place is dirty and cluttered and the manicure is bad. Wow. I can't imagine a much worse experience.

Awful. Just awful. Bad customer service. Bad polish job. Rushed me out of there when I told them my nails weren't dry, so of course, they smudged.
Never again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Located on a very busy street I expect them to be busy but damn these people are VERY busy. I was sat at the chair closest to the front door which I think aided in my overwhelming experience. Every person who came in for a walk in was told there was room for them but they were so busy that the front desk guy was running around helping all the nail techs which in turn made my nail tech the person to speak to everyone who came in so she was distracted the whole time. She was also completely whispering to clients who walked in while masked which in turn made all the people coming in get very close to her face (and mine) to speak which I did not appreciate. I would say in my 30 minute manicure 10 people walked in which was distracting.
She cut me 2x and then when I was flinching kept pulling my hands. I pointed out I was bleeding and to please be a little more gentle. Two times while putting on color my nail smudged because she was talking while doing them. They smudged onto her hand and she noticed and then tried to have me put my nail in the dryer! I did a dark brown which is a hard color but the nail is splotchy with light and dark spots that would be corrected by a third layer of polish but sadly not. Top coat and into the dryer. I hate always speaking up every step of my nail appointment because at the end of the day I would like to enjoy myself and relax but when she told me to take my nail out of the dryer in 20 seconds I refused and said they needed to dry for at least 60 seconds.
Also, 4/10 of the women who came in I guess are regulars and requested their regular nail techs already (booked appointments) but their ladies were now busy with walk ins instead which made them rightfully upset but they are complaining and yelling at my nail tech while I am getting my nails done!!! Like come on ladies.
Overall my nails on day 3 so far are fine. I would not go back when there is a nail place on every corner of every street.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

This review is for the union square location- I came for a Mani pedi, but had acrylics on and asked them to soak off my acrylics. Instead of soaking them off, they charged me $20 and used a dirty metro card under my nails to rip off the acrylics, I could've done a better job at home myself. In addition, they were really rude, rushed the whole mani pedi and didn't take the time to clean under my nails either. They also left and never came to check in on me once when my nails were drying. They only came to ask for a tip and we're super rude. Would not go back or recommend this place to anyone!

This place is close to my apartment so I really wanted to love it but unfortunately I won't be back. To be fair, the regular pedicure was fine no complaints but the powder gel manicure was not worth it. 5 of my fingers have completely damaged and ripped up cuticles, one of which was bleeding during my appointment and nothing was said. Every time the grinder ran past my cuticle I flinched and asked her to be more gentle to which there was no response and she continued as if I said nothing.
One nail had a smudge on it during the manicure after the second coat of powder, I asked her to fix it and she just layered more powder on instead of redoing the nail entirely so it's visible through the powder of course since you always grind powder down. I asked the woman at the front desk if they could redo it and she told the tech to just do another coat.
Powder gel needs to dry between each coats (base and color) in order to avoid crackling, the tech wanted to do each nail at once (base, color, top powder) and I asked if she could do all of the base, then all nails of color and all nails with top coat to let them dry between and she seemed very bothered by this request saying "it's all the same".
As you can see from the photos, each nail is a different thickness. Some are thicker than others and my right pointer finger is so thin, that it and my middle finger both cracked when I entered my apartment from this appointment less than an hour later.
I do like the shape and $70 for powder gel and pedicure was a good deal for the area but really not my cup of tea seeing as they cracked before I even got home.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lola S.Oakland Ave - Harrison St, Oakland, CA0462Aug 6, 2022
I stopped by here while I was in the neighborhood. I was immediately greeted and asked to check in. Ada did my nails and did a wonderful job. I really appreciate how she checked in to see if I was ok with the shape, color, etc. I will definitely return when i'm in the neighborhood :-)

I came here for a regular manicure. I asked for an extra coat of paint and asked about the edges but the manicurist said that she could only do two coats.
I was also charged an extra $8 for the nail color and it bubbled. It looks like it was not professionally done. I don't recommend coming here for regular manicures.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christina G.Weehawken, NJ126153470Apr 25, 2021
Happened to be in the city last week and decided to get SNS powder on my nails. Over the weekend, the bottoms of some of the nails started lifting and one nail already popped off. I pay way less in jersey and get much better quality. Very upset I spent $50 for something that lasted exactly one week.
