    • Q:

Hello I'm interested in doing this for myself and my mom but she is claustrophobic and can't swim is that a problem?

      A:

It is extremely shallow, so not being able to swim is not an issue. Also due to all the salt/magnesium the body becomes very buoyant. If you are claustrophobic you can keep the lid open on the float tank. Totally worth trying out! I love it and… more

      1. Fraud . Buyer beware ! The esthetician here , johanne will NOT STOP randomly charging my credit card . I forgot my return appointment I own that but she charged me $600 !!!!! She won't stop . I have pneumonia , a broken foot and im between apartments . Her first fraudulent charge was $375 . Then two $50 . Then I talked to her many times about her troubles and mine . She was " so sorry " now she's doing it again . $125 . I have to cancel my ONLY CARD . Stop payments with the bank don't work because the amounts are random .

      2. The " medical grade chemical peel ." Is not medical grade . She " doesn't believe in strong chemicals ." She left a weak one on for only 45 seconds and it accomplished nothing .

      3. I now have to change my credit card information on all of my bills, subscriptions, and be traveling without a card whatsoever because of this one and do not trust her with your credit card . Buyer beware this is a NIGHTMARE .

I will attach a snapshot of one of the many random charges.

I started this review 4 years ago and never finished. Oops! I love this place. I've been a few times, I try to go once or twice a year. Never have I ever been able to reach such a deep state of meditation as I have when I'm floating. The staff is always kind and warm. The facilities are clean and well kept. I highly recommend you give it a try because if you can reach that complete level of relaxation, there's nothing else like it.

I'm a little torn with my experience. While I loved my experience during the float, it is so hard to book my following appointments and that is why it is a 3 stars. I've gone here a few weeks ago and it was a great experience from entering the spa it is very simple (minimal decor) and clean. I was checked in by the receptionist who was prompt and went over the instructions, showed me to my own room with a shower and floatation pod, and within a few mins I'm good to go.

Let me tell you the floatation pod looks so futuristic and it is so heavenly once you rinse and jump in. You can feel how the calming the water is with tons of Epsom salts. It was amazing! I had turned on the lights inside the pod and turned on the music and closed the pod. I thought I would be claustrophobic, but I was definitely loving how spacious it felt for me once I laid back I literally floated. It was a great experience being in the pod. I had to turned off the music once I closed the pod, the noise inside echo and the sound was more intensified. I couldn't dial down the music, it had a few different music choices but no volume control. The lights in the pod changed colors and it was the only thing I liked inside the pod. It was easier to see and navigate the control.

Once you lay back, your body will literally float because of the high amount of Epsom salt that is inside the pod. Once you let go, your body just goes into this deep relaxation mode. I literally fell asleep half the time. I felt so much lighter and was so nicely rested that the rest of my day was pure zen!

After my great experience, I decided to buy this experience again. It's been literally 3 weeks from the day I purchased my first float to booking appointment for my next float. 3 weeks and not even a call back after multiple voicemails and calls. I am so disappointed about the lack of customer service, once you leave. It's like chasing your first bliss-literally!

I would definitely recommend this experience, but not this establishment.

      RESET

Float therapy has been on my list of things to try for a while now. I don't think I've ever been able to completely silence my thoughts, mind until today. It was effortless meditation + stress release. This is perfect if your a constant over-thinker like myself.

Each pod, sensory deprivation (isolation) tank is filled with over 1000 pounds of epsom salt.

I was a bit nervous about closing the pod but i did it anyway and cut that light right off

you have the choice to float in a bathing suit or naked. That was an easy choice for me lol. You get a room to yourself including everything you need (shower, towels, float pillow etc.) They provide lotion, shampoo, conditioner. You literally can just come with yourself and loose comfortable clothing.

I spoke with the owner while booking my appointment, she was an angel.

I booked another session on my way out because i enjoyed the entire experience that much. I really didn't want it to end.

I purchased my first float on Groupon for a little bit of a discounted price.

Everything was extremely clean! The staff was friendly. Just give it a try! I'd give them more stars if i could

I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage from Johanna and WOW. She easily helped target my tention spots and made the whole experience relaxing. She worked on my whole body in sections and I walked away feeling completely less tense. I work 8-10 hours a day at a desk, so this definitely helped.

On top of that, she is super sweet and very knowledgeable. I cannot recommend her enough and will definitely be back to see her!

I was lucky enough to meet Johanne. She made my experience great. She did educate me on what exactly is going on with my face and how to prevent these things from reoccurring. Trust me, it was something I needed to hear from a professional. Her bedside manner is amazing & she is such a kind person. I will definitely be going back to her & also going to try the float center.

I was able to enjoy an hour in the floating center and was treated with great customer service. The owner personally reached out to me to apologized when I was asked to reschedule my appointment by half an hour due to some internet issues at the center.

I took this photo afterward so please excuse the water on the ground

It sounds like other people are having a similar issue. I went in for a facial and it was one of the best I've ever had. I booked a second appointment for the next month. I got a text reminding me of my appointment. I was dropped off and went to open the door and no one was there. I waited. 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes and went to the float center a few doors down. No one knows where the owner went. I called, they call and nothing. He asked if I want to reschedule, he'll no! And you know what? It's been weeks and they never did call. I called just to make sure she was alright and no answer. I hope she's ok because she was amazing and I don't think she would diss her customers like that. Kinda worried.

I bought a Groupon that expires Wednesday. I've called twice this week at various times, no one answered. I left a voicemail both times and nobody has bothered to call me back. This looks like a common problem with this establishment. Is it because I have a Groupon? I bought it so I could try out float therapy before I decided to purchase a membership. They apparently don't want my business though for whatever reason.

I am back to edit my previous review since Johanne has added a float center to the spa. I was skeptical and had never heard of floating before, but after doing some research I decided to give it a try.

I was terrified at first and thought that I would feel claustrophobic inside, but Johanne helped ease me into it by leaving the lights on. I left the pod open for the first fifteen minutes, and once I relaxed a bit I had her turn the lights off and I closed the pod. After having floated a few times, I have to say I am addicted. I have a tough time relaxing and no form of meditation has worked so well. I feel relaxed, calm, and recharged after. I also have had a pain in my right foot since I was young, and floating has reduced the pain almost completely.

I also want to comment on how beautiful the rooms are at this float center. The rooms are spacious and the quality of the shower and pods (all amenities) is amazing. I am thankful that I found this solution for not only stress, but pain as well.

I have had difficult skin for as long as I can remember. I have tried several different spas and finally found one that meets my needs. Not only is she sweet, but Johanne knows what she's doing. My skin has never been better. She recommended products based on my skin type without pushing any on me. Since I've used her recommended products and received regular facials my skin is like new. The space is small and quiet-- it reinforces the fact that during an appointment you know that you are the focus. I feel incredibly comfortable at Pure Bliss Day Spa and on top of that, Johanne is warm and easy to talk to.
