The program is set up to be very supportive to a new spanish speaker. The teachers use supportive language and will give stems or beginnng sentences to answer a round Robin question. There is a predictable agenda each week, which helps reduce anxiety. Only one session did I have a grumpy unsupportive teacher, probably a bad day for them, but it just highlighted how very important a supportive safe environment is needed to learn. People forget or their brains don't work well under pressure or anxiety. This is only my observations of the classes.
For myself I realize I need to be more repetitive on smaller amounts of vocabulary or verbs, than I have a better chance of learning them.
I love the format, professors are great and the speaking is very helpful. However, I wish there were more am B2 classes.
the teacher was very welcoming, calming, kind, professional, non judgmental. he set the tone to make a safe space for people to feel comfortable speaking a foreign language!
