Ever since I became disabled with multiple sclerosis, I have lost all my confidence. Sometimes I signed up for exercise or yoga classes gotten into the door and turned around. While I'm doing much better with new medication's, I have some contractions. When I got to the top of the stairs, Karl greeted me, told me he was glad I was there. I explained to him of my situation. I didn't want to be a burden or a drag for the rest of the students. He told me I wasn't, give me a little place with some privacy in the back. He checked in on me, often. When it was clear, I didn't know the poses he demonstrated them near me. He handed me alblocks, a bolster or a blanket when I needed them. But he did not doubt on me to the point where I felt like other people weren't getting attention. And after the class was over, he came over with a huge smile and gave me a fist bump and told me that I did great. I don't know about that or how great I did, but for the first time in a long time in a group situation. On my short drive home, I had to pull over because I burst into tears. They were not tears of sadness, rather a flood, releasing my misgivings, self-doubt, and self loathing of the physical wreck I had become. That may sound a little dramatic, but I am so glad I kept this New Year's resolution. I'll go back to Carl's classes, but I also can't wait to meet some of your other instructors. Namaste. 🙏Mike M.
