• I swore I would never take a hot yoga class an then I begrudgingly tried Power Nectar, and now I'm hooked! It's the only place I'll practice hot yoga because it was designed so well to maintain heat with proper air flow so it doesn't get humid, anywhere else I've practiced in the heat it feels too difficult to breathe without proper ventilation. You do sweat more than in a typical class so it can help to use a towel and dress lighter but otherwise doesn't feel that much hotter during practice. The studio itself is immaculate, the floor to ceiling windows provide lovely sky views. Jane the owner is so wonderful and warm, and she's staffed the studio accordingly. I've only practiced with the instructors that came over from Jane's original location Blue Nectar so far and they've always been my favorites. They're creative, empowering, and really foster a sense of community. The variety of classes is appealing too because mixed in with the hot vinyasa flows are cooler & slower yin & yin-yasa classes and fiery Sattva vinyasa classes so even though it's a hot studio there's really something for everyone. It's easy to get to being right off a main street but still feels tucked away, there's always been plenty of parking when I've gone.
