I've been coming to Polarity for roughly a year and a half now. Like most people, I was once very afraid of putting myself in a dance class, especially one in which you feel so "bare": what will others think of me, what if I can't do the move right, what if I'm not strong enough, etc.? But the encouragement and kindness of the instructors and students at Polarity have consistently shattered these old beliefs I've built up around myself and my abilities. With every class and every attempt - 'successful' or not - I leave this studio a stronger, wiser, more confident person. Laura is a powerhouse with a heart of pure gold, always encouraging me to try, to push myself, to explore what is waiting for me on the other side of fear. She is more than my coach: she is inspiration incarnate, a muse of elegant strength, and a shimmering voice in the darkness. I've learned that I can do absolutely anything if I put my mind to it and believe in myself, and I couldn't have done it without Laura believing in me first. She once told me she saw a light in me, and I've never forgotten that. I'm blessed each time I walk into the studio and take one of her classes. Her energy is contagious and I can feel the passion in every movement when she performs, even during demonstrations. Polarity has become my second home, my third space, my chapel where I go to connect with my body, mind, and soul. Undoubtedly, Laura has taken this studio to new heights of impact and meaning.
