My wife and I have been working out at Platoon Fitness together for over 2 years. After, about a five-month pause due to COVID, we have started back up. Due to staff turnover from COVID, we started with a new trainer, Brad Martin.
He asked us what do you want to work on. I told him our ages, mid to later 50's and that we aren't competing for anything and asked, given that, what should we be working on. He said, strength, balance, flexibility, and stamina.
Ok, so that's the plan. In just 90 days I can say I feel better and stronger than I've ever been. My posture is better and I'm excited to enter ski season feeling so strong. The proof is in my ability to do yard work and physical activity easily and without injuring myself, which was previously quite common.
I had two shoulder problems over the last 2 years and they both are feeling great. Strong, flexible with a much-improved range of motion and no pain.
I highly recommend and endorse Platoon Fitness and Brad Martin.

I love Todd and the whole team and the Bryn Mawr location is all spiffed up! This is a great gym with state of the art training and a terrific atmosphere. It's clean and smells clean and is my favorite place to work out! All ages and all levels individually tailored personal training with just the right trainer matched up to you for your unique needs. Love it here!

I decided to sign up PT with platoon fitness after trying to work out on my own for three years with no result that I was expecting. During my first session, I told Catie, my PT, that I wanted to have a toner body and that I can do some pull up by the end of the summer. She really works her way out to make that happen for me. I really enjoy the sessions with Catie as she really pushes me to my limits and personalizes the work out techniques that works for me. I have seen bicep muscle and abs just after like 1.5 months. Also, as my working hrs are really not stable, she is willing to train me really early before the sun even rise as I have more energy at that time than after work. I would recommend everyone I know to Catie and platoon.

I just had my inaugural workout with Becca at platoon fitness after an absence of three years. She was appropriately encouraging, without pushing me beyond limitations due to a torn miniscus and limited range of motion in my shoulder. We worked together on modifying some of the workout, and some screaming muscles in my upper legs tell me that I certainly got a workout with lunges and squats (LOL)

If you're looking for knowledgeable personal trainers and a place that will hold you accountable that works with your busy schedule, this is the place to be! They are really great about working with my knee injury and also pushing me to my full potential. I highly recommend Platoon Fitness!! The environment and atmosphere makes you want to get fit, stay fit and be healthy and happy.

Great personalized workouts that fit any of your goals. They are also very flexible for your schedule which is great for busy professionals.

Platoon is probably not what you'd expect when you think of a gym.
You'd probably be expecting rows and rows of treadmills and weight machines, a nice locker room, and of course some TVs. Platoon doesn't really have that. It focuses on personal training and fitness classes, and they like to do those things outside.
It's actually a very good deal - for every personal training session you go to, you can get a free outdoor class. I'm very fond of my trainer, Kat, who is eternally optimistic and encouraging when it comes to working out. However, the rest of the trainers hanging around the gym are always nice and friendly to me. It's a very welcoming environment, and I've been enjoying my time there more than I ever thought I would.
To summarize: If you're looking for a gym that'll provide you with lots of elliptical machines and a smoothie bar, Platoon probably isn't what you're looking for. But if you realize that working out is great when other people know you personally and are encouraging you, go to Platoon. Great trainers in a great atmosphere! I have been with my trainer for 6 years now and and couldn't imagine not having him to keep me in shape! Highly recommended!

ouch, OUCH.......seriously.........stop. IT HURTS
I have been going off and on for a couple of months now. Ask For Randall. He will kick your ass but he will do it nicely.
I've lost some weight. I can run farther and Im generally a nicer person at this point.
I've only done personal training sessions. I need to go more often but its not as cheap as I'd like it to be , it adds up.
All in all, it beats the crap out of a gym like LA Fitness. Where the locker rooms are dirty and the staff is usually asleep.

Amazing place to work out! The trainers are very in the know and keep you focused. The space is great. And it's great for any ages!! My 18 year old goes and loves it too!
