I had an incredible experience! Very knowledgeable staff and so kind and patient! Liz took so much time talking to me and answering questions during my consultation...I felt at ease and knew I was in good hands. My treatment was fabulous and I truly cannot wait to get my next one. This will definitely be a monthly treat to myself! I went to so many hair dressers and doctors asking for help with my scalp and they had no idea what I should do. The Philip Kingsley Centre has seen it all and knows exactly how to help. Could not be more grateful to have found them!

Professional services, kind staff and clean facilities. They are experts in the field and are there for the whole journey back to hair health.

I have been a client for about 3 years now. I love the service. Every employee is extremely professional. They "FIXED" MY HAIR and it is beautiful again. ELIZABETH is very knowledgeable about hair and nutrition. The products and treatments I am given are for my problem hair ONLY! All I. have to do is listen and follow the directions I am given. It REALLY WORKS!

6 years ago, I got off the lifelong train of trying to make my hair straight and embraced the "curly girl" method. And while I loved the look and ease, the DevaCurl products created issues for my scalp within a few months. I tried switching products, but frankly I was very unhappy. Then I remembered about Philip Kingsley in NYC and booked a consultation and a treatment. Walked out with a clean happy scalp and personalized products that have kept it that way. And Steve is the best!

I haven't completed treatment yet but so far I feel heard and understood and like my hair issues are real. Super happy so far.

I didn't find PK to be that useful or insightful to the issues I was experiencing with my hair. I was also surprised that you didn't have any sulfate free shampoos and conditioner which is so common nowadays. I learn more from researching the internet than I did when I was at PK.

I checked out this place because I read an xoJane author's experience here and wanted to make sure it was legit.

It is very legit.

Here's the breakdown. Trichologists - people who specialize in hair and scalp. Dandruff, dry scalp, hair loss, etc.... you name it, they can help. However, you have to book a hair consultation first ($350). First time clients will meet Liz, as I did, and she's amazing. I mean, consultations are usually boring, but she's very friendly and thorough in her questioning. She only works on weekdays, though, and they only accept consultations 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday? Call them to double check).

After the consultation, you get the treatment (usually $150, but is included in the $350 consultation fee - so basically, after the consultation each one is $150). UGH THE TREATMENTS ARE AMAZING. It's like 100x better than ANY happy hour. Steve or Dani will do the treatment - and they are amazing. Like, I cannot get over how nice the staff is there. Anyways, you go there, get seated. They serve water, coffee, and tea. They give you a huge stack of magazines to read there (The New Yorker, TIME, TONY, Lucky, People, EW, aka EVERYTHING). And then you just sit and let the treatment take you away. And um, hello, the treatment comes with a heck of a great massage.

After the treatment, your hair gets shampooed and conditioned, and once you are handed a hair dryer, you're all set! Some people don't realize it (even though it is mentioned it on their website) - YOU HAVE BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR YOURSELF. It's not a hair salon, people. Get over it.

Anyways, since going there, my hair has never looked and felt as amazing as it does now. I would recommend them to anyone - but only if you have the budget. It's not cheap, but nothing worth it is ever really cheap, is it...? Especially when it comes to your hair!

This review is overdue by probably about 12 years at least. I've been a patient of the Philip Kingsley clinic for over a decade and they are the only ones that have been able to help me maintain my hair in the best shape that it could be.

I have very fine, European hair and since my first consultation many, many years ago, they were able to prescribe the right shampoo and tonic that does not dry out my scalp and keeps my hair soft, healthy and shiny.

Amazing clinic, great people. THANK YOU SO MUCH for continuously helping me!

Philip Kingsley has been a life saving product for me, and I love the fact that I can instantly pickup their products in midtown without having to wait for mail order. I'm giving 3 stars because on my several visits to the salon I was greeted by the most unwelcoming receptionist!
Considering the price of PK products, I would expect a less gloomy face.
In any event, I'll be back because I love the PK products!!
