I got my hair done by Laura and she was great. She treated me with so much kindness and i got the look i asked for. I will trust Laura with my LIFE. You can tell she cares about her craft and is professional!! See Laura!

The staff was really rude and not very helpful. The girl named Lauren cut my hair and she did a really bad job please please don't go at this place. The people will treat you like shit and charge you 100$ for just a trim.

I'm a fan of supporting local businesses and when they don't come through it's very disappointing and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

The first part comes yesterday when my wife and I needed a candle as part of a spa gift basket. This location came to mind and I told my wife "Let's go to Pearls". So we went there and purchased a candle then while I was there, I booked an eyebrow appointment in advance of a family wedding this weekend. The appointment was scheduled for today at 12:15p. I was told I was going to get an text confirmation about it. I never did but nonetheless, still arrived prior to 12:15p the following day.

So I get there today at 12:10p and was told the esthetician was finishing up and would be out momentarily. I was invited to sit down on the couch and wait. I did then fast forward about 10-15 mins later, I believe it was the owner who apologized and said the same thing, she's finishing up.

It was 12:40p - 25 minutes later, I decided to leave.

Parking is next door and available along Lincoln avenue so no issues there.

I don't have time for this and don't plan on visiting nor recommending to anyone in the future. It's too bad as I knew I should've just gone to Benefit instead!

I've had two cuts and partial highlights done awhile ago, both times by Christie and I am very pleased. I don't get my hair cut often because I have trust issues, but I am glad a took a chance on a Groupon deal! She understood what I wanted, was very nice, recommended some hair products and gave tips on styling. She takes her time and is really nice. I tried two different styles and she did a great job with both styles. I get discount offers often and would go back.

This are the result when you give your trust to an unprofessional person.
Is the people at this location even certified?
I have never received a call for follow up even when I have left several messages.
My hair is being damaged for months and is not going to recover for all the damage they caused.
I just hope this help other people.

I went to Pearls of Chicago for a haircut and the woman who did my hair was absolutely fantastic. I told her I was looking for recommendations that would help make my round face look a little slimmer and she hit the nail right on the head with what she suggested.

I'm giving four stars rather than five just because of the salon itself. Driving up it doesn't look very nice from the outside; the inside also felt a little dingy like they were remodeling or something. There were wigs all over the place (I'm guessing for people to practice on?) which was strange to me. The aesthetic wasn't enough to stop me from going again as I care much more about the service, but if you're looking for a calming space in addition to the service, this might not be the place for you.

This place made feel like royalty as soon as I stepped in.

I bought a groupon online for a cut, blow dry and deep conditioning. As soon as I entered I was offered a drink menu consisting of coffee, tea, and other beverages that were complementary. They also offered homemade coffee cake!

The space was very clean and modern looking. All the people were very friendly and personable. Great customer service. My stylist was Jalissa and she was amazing. I told her what I wanted and she advised me on what would look good for my face shape. She also gave great tips on how to keep my hair healthy. I don't usually believe in paying more than $30 for a haircut, but this place is definitely worth it.

Highly recommend. This salon combines a very warm and down to earth vibe with high end products and talented stylists. Well, I've only gotten one haircut so far, but I am really happy with it and will book with Elizabeth again for sure. There were other clients being taken care of by two other stylists while I was there. They left as I was getting my haircut and they looked great and happy as well.

I also like the green salon/sustainability designation Pearls carries and the environmentally conscious practices. I have not seen that before in other salons and think it a really important to support this practice.

I thought the pricing was reasonable and the products I bought based on how my hair turned out are converting me away from the line I've used since I was a teenager (which was 20 odd years ago).

I purchased a full color, haircut, and deep conditioning treatment from Living social.
Alina did a great job matching my color. It looks spectacular! The cut is good. She took off the exact amount I wanted. It is slightly uneven but I expected that because of my uneven waves. Every stylist that has cut my hair has had problems getting it straight. Everyone I see compliments me and says my hair looks great.
We had great conversation when necessary and she knew when to let me relax in silence enjoying the shampoo with head massage and deep conditioning treatment.
I recommend Pearls of Chicago and will come back in the future.

I purchased a Groupon for a deep conditioning treatment, blowout and haircut.
I have very long naturally curly hair and only get it straightened when it's time for a haircut.
Sonia did my hair and did an EXCELLENT job!
It was one of THE BEST blow outs I've ever had.
Sonia listened to me regarding what works best for my hair and was patient, which is important because it's a long process.
Unfortunately, many stylists do not listen and often try to tell me how they should blow out my hair to achieve the best results, but it's my hair and I definitely know what works best.
I am very happy with my haircut and blowout!
Sonia really seems to enjoy what she does and she is a perfectionist, which is GREAT!
I'll definitely be seeing Sonia for my next haircut and blowout.
Pearl's is very reasonably priced and I definitely recommend this salon!
