I like the rooms though a little noisy from cars and etc.. outside.
Old building cannot do much about it.
The staff is very helpful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristina C.San Jose, CA645Dec 20, 2016
This place is the creme de la creme for me! I have no idea if I spelled that correctly. Seriously,
Take a class in the upstairs studio, it rarely exceeds 8 ppl. I've even had it just be two of us, which is AMAZING for perfecting your poses. I think it's called the gallery.
Downstairs is the perf hall, which will have larger classes if you prefer to be a little more anonymous.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - C. C.San Francisco, CA3299Jan 25, 2011
Wonderful yoga in Santa Cruz happens here.
PCC offers a variety of yoga classes to meet your individual needs. They even offer yoga classes for people with physical disabilities. How wonderful is that? I have taken the yin/yang yoga, beginner yoga on Wednesday evenings, and intermediate yoga on Thursday mornings.
Lisa is my absolute favorite yoga teacher in the bay area. She is AMAZING. She has a very kind and soothing presence! I come here feeling tense or stressed and I am guaranteed to come out feeling relaxed and at peace. She remembers everyone's name and gives every person in the class individual attention. I love when she comes around to adjust my pose. Lisa is also a certified massage therapist and adjusting your pose involves a light massage. She always manages to find some pressure points around the tight areas in my pose. Check out her website http://www.lisagyoga.com/
Anyway, I have only one experience with another instructor, so my experience is primarily based on classes with Lisa, which I highly recommend. Also, PCC offers special workshops. I have been to one of the workshops, yin yoga, and it was a great experience.
I highly recommend PCC - warm, friendly, and professional. A must!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jim P.Sunnyvale, CA52313Oct 23, 2006First to Review
This is a mixed use facility where the Ashtanga Yoga Center resides. Very large room with mixed ability yoga group. There are some good instructors, I especially like Kelly Blaser who teached a flow type class.. Website: http://www.pacificcultural.org/htmlfiles/ayischedule.htm

Lovely setting for your Karma to embrace your inner Dogma.
Live music with a stretch class can't be beat, even with a stick.
Being not one ounce politically correct here is well worth the pun.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Adaptive Yoga Project A.Santa Cruz, CA010Oct 14, 2008
Every day Yoga classes at this center are taught by highly trained and devoted teachers. The classes range from advanced to adapted for special needs, prenatal and restorative. You can do an unlimited month pass for only $80.00 a month (an incredible deal.) Other discount passes are available, otherwise it is $12.00 drop in. There are classes every day. On Thursday's at 8:am Baba Hari Das who is the main teacher from India, comes into town and presides over a class on the BhagavaGita, it is taught in the traditional Sanskrit then translated and interpreted with discussion, questions and answers with Babaji. This is followed by delicious traditional Indian meal.
The Gita class is free of charge and the meal is a minimal donation.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Juliana B.Oakland Hills, Oakland, CA7282Jun 9, 2017
Went to the 2 hour, sat morning class. It was FREE! The class was great, the instructor was great, I felt terrific all day after the class! Great job at keeping yoga accessible!

Just took a class from Peggy, she is a bad ass yoga teacher. Very solid and thorough practice. Wednesday and Friday 12:15pm, I am there! She is helpful, powerful, and authentic. Thank you Peggy

I've heard great things about this place However, I Couldn't get through a class, chanting in Hindu for over 15 minutes, with what was likely poor pronunciation and bad translations. I like my yoga free of dogma. May not be a bad yoga place but guy at the front was not welcoming and neither was the teacher or the other students . I still need to find a dogma free place in Santa Cruz to do my downward dog. :(
