  • Almost perfect! The teacher simply doesn't need to assume that we are *not* going inward, or that we are concerned about what we look like or what anyone else looks like. It is common for yoga teachers to comment on this, even repeatedly, and I'm always surprised and a little distracted by it. We are fine. Mature.😉 She also doesn't need to assume any presuppositions on our part of who she is or how she will teach. "You thought I was so cutesy; you didn't think I would be so difficult." Meant in fun and for lightness, no doubt (we all have our own style of humour), but distracting for me personally. I was enjoying the challenge, and the energy as it was. And the listening skill factor was also pointed out -- another common commentary from yoga teachers. Sometimes going inward means not listening to every word a teacher says. Again, this is the mature, adult version of the external teacher-student relationship, in my opinion. Teachers are guides; our true guru is within. It's most important that we listen to our bodies, which the teacher did emphasize as well, to her credit. And she is a lovely, lovely person, visibly dialled into divine flow. I was grateful for her, her welcome, wisdom, unique flow sequences, and unique beauty (as each of us brings). And she told me it was great to have my energy in class, which I appreciated. She (Hadis) is wonderful, and Shae is wonderful, and I'm grateful to be there this week.
  • Love the studio and all the staff! They are all authentic, warm & inviting!
